Hello, my name is Lara and I am a 20 year old French girl studying (classical) piano at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in the heart of London. I offer private piano lessons at home (in French or in English) for people of all ages and all levels (beginners / intermediates / advanced), specializing more particularly in classical music. I can, however, adjust the program to suit the student's personal interests. Classical Guitar is the most versatile style to master all others. I have a 20 year experience as a performer, graduated at the most prestigious colleges and played all over Europe the world. As a teacher I gave masterclasses to the highest level, taught in Conservatoires and prepared students to all level to GCSE, A level, 11 plus, Trinity and ABRSM exam with a 100% rate of success. I thought in several schools in London and privately too. The classes will be tailored around the student’s wishes and will comprehend technique, repertoire, reading, listening and building a repertoire to enjoy.

I cultivate students' interest in piano playing and musical development by teaching instrumental techniques, scales, music theory, and sight reading. Jazz piano is an excellent route for people who are looking for a less book-focused, more aural approach to learning an instrument. I can tutor beginners to the piano or classical-converts who are looking to experience jazz by condensing my education down into core principles. This method of learning helps you move away from the books and to start enjoying the piano with more confidence and skill. I teach with a strong emphasis on theory and aural listening and with my resources I can take you through basics to more advanced lessons. I'm also fully equipped to teach music theory classes and to tutor in GCSE and A-Level music (composition, particularly) as well as teaching early level classical piano (up to ABRSM Grade 6).
