About Me
I am a largely self taught artist who has been exhibiting and selling my art since 2016. For many years I did this along side my day job as a lawyer but I am now a full time artist based in Henley-on-Thames. I have been teaching children art since September 2022.

I specialise in oil painting and most of my painting is done with oil paints. Many people are frightened of using oil paints. In these classes I will introduce you to oil paints and teach you how to use them to overcome these fears.

You will learn techniques and tips to improve you skill level and learn how to compose and paints landscapes and still life paintings.

My teaching philosophy centres around helping students discover their instinctive creative voices through experimental drawing techniques. I believe in the power of intuitive creation, where students are encouraged to move beyond traditional methods, tap into their creativity, and embrace innovative approaches to drawing. This process empowers them to build a strong personal style while gaining the technical skills necessary to express their ideas confidently.

As a lecturer at Central Saint Martin's i use my years of teaching experience to help every student unlock their potential, guiding them in finding their unique artistic identity and confidently navigating their creative journeys. Whether you're looking to build a portfolio, develop new drawing skills, or simply explore new creative approaches, I offer a personalised, hands-on approach that meets each student where they are, helping them grow and evolve as an artist. Fashion design isn't just about learning techniques; it's about discovering and expressing your instinctive creative voice.

In my lessons, we’ll focus on intuition-driven design—moving beyond traditional, formulaic methods and embracing a more personal, organic approach to creating fashion. Designing with intuition: You’ll learn how to trust your instincts in the design process, whether you’re sketching new ideas or creating full garments. Exploring fabric and silhouette: Through hands-on exercises, you’ll learn how to experiment with different materials, shapes, and textures to create unique and bold designs. Breaking traditional boundaries: My approach challenges you to explore unconventional forms, colours, and patterns, encouraging designs that reflect your own artistic vision.
