I am looking for all sorts of students, who are willing to
- build up a broad vocabulary
- improve writing skills
- improve conversational skills
- improve listening skills
- improve reading skills
- improve grammar
- get prepared for an exam/speech/job interview
And also start from scratch! That’s the most fun part.

I am open to working with children and teens, because I can understand them and their needs well, so I can always find an individual way of helping each and every one of them with all the attention and guidance they need!
I give one on one, private classes.
But I am also open to teaching for two-three students at a time and potentially organizing a little group of people to meet weekly and improve/ practice our skills as a collective.
Extra information
It’s great if you have your own goals in English and want to bring some sources to the class, like music you like, articles, books or magazines, films/cartoons/tv-series, or just your own wish to learn the language. I am supporting creative writing, extra notes you might want to make on your electronic devices and designing your own notebook is a great idea to learn in a fun more creative way, so bring different stationary tools with you.

I am supportive of all ideas that students will have, so bringing extra material to the class is highly recommended!

Hello,

My name is Santiago and I am offering individual and personalized virtual English classes to improve both your oral and written communication. The main focus of my classes is focused on developing fluent and structured communication of the English language either to prepare international exams, including the TOEFL and the FCE, or to be able to communicate properly in the professional field or to reinforce and maintain prior knowledge of this language.

I am a graduate, graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University in the USA. Having learned English as a child at the Ivy Thomas Memorial School in Uruguay, and lived a year and a half in Thailand, followed by 4 years in the USA I acquired great knowledge and fluency in the English language.

In Thailand I spent a year and a half studying communication arts, which helped me, prepare for my studies in the US. I had several communication classes, learning techniques of how to speak better using not only our words but also our body to help us speak more naturally, calmly, and without getting nervous if we get stuck or forget what we wanted to say. During my career in the US, I was constantly writing essays for my classes, in addition to having to present projects in front of my teachers and classmates. At the same time, I was working at university and after graduation I worked for a year, mainly having long phone conversations with people from all over the country.

Nowadays the ability to communicate in English is essential and I am going to prepare you so that you can meet your goals. It could be, studying abroad, going to live in an English-speaking country, improving your communication in the professional field, or keep practicing so as not to lose the previously acquired level.
If what you are looking for is to improve your knowledge of the English language, I will help you. My methodology is simple. Each person is different and I adapt the content of my classes to the needs and interests of my students. We all learn in different ways and at different times,

TL;DR: If you're preparing for the Digital SAT and need guidance, I'm here to help. I scored 1540 (750 in English, 790 in Math) and am currently studying Quantum Technology at Aalto University on a scholarship.

Here's everything you need to know:

About Me
I’m currently a first-year bachelor’s student at the School of Science in Aalto University, where I secured a highly competitive full-tuition scholarship thanks to my SAT score (1540: Math 790, English 750). I’ve been an SAT tutor for over a year now, teaching both group classes and one-on-one sessions. In total, I’ve helped more than 70 students reach their SAT goals. Back in Bangladesh, I worked as an SAT instructor at Mentors' and developed the SAT teaching curriculum at Noetic. With this experience under my belt, I’ve designed a teaching method that’s effective, flexible, and, most importantly, tailored to you.

How My Classes Work
The SAT is all about finding patterns and mastering the "game". My classes are structured to help you do exactly that. In each class, I will teach you some theoretical basics first and then make you go through some actual SAT problems related to those basics. It's not about me showing you how to solve, rather it's about making you capable to think like a 1500+ scorer. In the process, I'll observe your thought process and give feedback on where you are going wrong and what you doing right. Sounds impressive?

Here’s the class breakdown:

English Classes

Words in Context
Text Structure and Purpose
Cross-Text Connections
Central Ideas and Details
Command of Evidence (Textual, Quantitative)
Inferences
Boundaries
Form, Structure, and Sense
Rhetorical Synthesis
Transitions

Math Classes

Algebra: 3 sessions
Advanced Math: 3 sessions
Problem Solving and Data Analysis: 3 sessions
Geometry and Trigonometry: 2 sessions

Don’t worry; the number of classes is flexible. If you’re already confident in certain topics, we’ll skip them and focus on what needs improvement. This isn’t a cookie-cutter course—it’s all about what works best for you.

Logistics
Duration: Each class is 1.5 hours.
Preferred Schedule: After 6 PM (but we can discuss).
Class Options: Online (Google Meet, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams) or in-person (either at Aalto University, my place, or yours (applicable for Espoo and Helsinki)).

Why Choose Me?
Sure, there are tons of SAT prep courses out there. But when you hit a wall or feel like your progress has plateaued, that’s where I come in. You'll choose me because —
a) I have a high score, so I know how to crack this.
b) I have taken the SAT on Oct, 2023 and since then taught more than 70 students all over the world. So, I am updated with the curriculum and process.
c) I am already studying in a reputed university with scholarship leveraging my SAT score. So, I can guide through the admission process (be it in Europe or US) as well.
d) I am a no bullshit guy. If you need 2/3 classes only, that's fine. If you need 20 classes, that's also fine. I am here to make money but not to exploit. So, I offer huge flexibility.

I’ll help you:
Identify the SAT’s patterns and tricks.
Focus on your weak areas while leveraging your strengths.
Understand the nuances of scoring 1500+.
Navigate college admissions (both in the U.S. and Europe).

Plus, if you’re up for it, you’ll get free life advice and philosophical discussions along the way. (Yes, seriously.)

What My Students Say
A lot of my students start off feeling stuck and overwhelmed but end up feeling confident and in control. They’ve told me that my approach is not just practical and effective, but surprisingly enjoyable too! The SAT isn’t just a test—it’s a challenge you can conquer with the right mindset and strategies.

Ready to Get Started?
Whether you’re aiming for a 1200 or pushing for a 1550+, I’m here to help you achieve your goals. Let’s make this happen together.

Reach out, and let’s chat about how I can support your SAT journey. Looking forward to hearing from you!
