I've been playing and learning music for 15 years. I am graduated in Piano, Saxophone and Music Education in Barcelona, and now I'm an exchange student at the Sibelius Academy.

I have experience teaching students of all ages, and from different musical backgrounds: classical, pop, and jazz music.

That said, I want to help you meet your own personal goals—be it improving your conversational skills, writing skills, or getting ready to pass those English language tests! Also, I understand quite a lot of Finnish which helps me to identify common mistakes native-Finnish speakers make. It helps me to better explain the logic of English from the perspective of a Finnish speaker. :)

Diogo is a curious musician, being part of different projects such as the Kaamos Duo (contemporary music for saxophone and soprano singer), chamber music with pianist Lambis Pavlou and Cantus Portugueses (traditional portuguese music with a modern twist). He also plays as a member of the contemporary music groups Korvat Auki and the Nyky Ensemble.
His main musical interests at the moment are the collaborations with living composers, chamber music with different ensembles, and interdisciplinary improvisation.
Diogo performances have taken place in many venues such as the Philharmonie of Essen, OrchesterZentrum Dortmund, Music Center Helsinki, Turku Castle, Liceu Auditorium Barcelona, Casa da Música do Porto, and many more.

Diogo's recognition includes prizes in some international competitions and the recent recognition at the 2022 Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy competition for Contemporary Ensembles and the recent participation at the prestigious Josip Nochta Competition in Zagreb, Croatia.

Diogo teaches all saxophones and ensemble playing in Portuguese, Spanish, English and German.

I use a variety of instruments, including piano, djembe drum, tongue drum, and even everyday objects like pillows to make rhythm and listening fun. My approach is hands-on and creative, making music engaging for all ages and skill levels.
