As part of his commitment to contemporary music, Sergi recorded the Concertino Op. 27 by composer Marc Migó with the National Orchestra of Ukraine under the direction of Volodymyr Sirenko in October 2018. The recording was produced by Oleksandr Hornostai and released under the title "Concertinos and Catalan Fantasies" on the Toccata Next label. The project, supported by the Joan Manén Association, was presented on September 30, 2021, at the Palau de la Música Catalana, with Sergi as soloist. He also premiered several preludes by Migó.
Sergi is a founding member of the Trio Bóreas, which formed at the Hamburg University of Music. Together with violinist Eva Wetzel and cellist Quim Tejedor, the ensemble has performed in various concert halls, including the Great Hall of the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg, the Atlàntida in Vic, and the Auditori Josep Viader in Girona.
Solo recitals are planned for the current season in Spain and Germany. Sergi has also been invited to perform with the Alinde Quartet—the Cologne Philharmonic's flagship ensemble.
