Dutch Lessons for Expats – Conversation & A2 Inburgering Exam Prep

I teach conversational Dutch and help with A2 inburgering exam prep for expats and internationals, fully online.

Lessons are structured around your level and goals, whether you're a complete beginner, preparing for the inburgering exam, or already speak some Dutch and want to build confidence and fluency. Each lesson builds on the last, so progress is measurable.

I use my own teaching materials, focused on real, everyday Dutch instead of outdated textbook Dutch. I speak ABN (standard Dutch) and cover all the important everyday topics. Every lesson comes with homework, so progress continues between sessions.

Extra information

Lessons take place online via Google Meet or Zoom, whichever you prefer. All you need is a stable internet connection and a quiet place to talk, no textbooks or materials required, I provide everything.

Before your first lesson, I'll ask a few quick questions about your current level and goals so we can make the most of our time together. After each lesson you'll get short homework to keep your progress going between sessions.

I use several methods which are specially conceived to teach Dutch to people who have a different mother tongue. I really like to use methods out of the ordinary like role games or methods with which you learn while playing. All these adapted to the student's situation of course. As I learned myself a couple of other languages, it is easy for me to detect difficulties a student can encounter and adapt the way of learning. I can teach in English, French, German and Russian.

Dutch can be a challenging language. Spelling, grammar, reading comprehension, writing, or speaking often cause insecurity in both children and adults. In my lessons, I help pupils and course participants step by step to gain more control, confidence, and enjoyment in the Dutch language.

I teach online lessons to:

- pupils in primary and secondary education (vmbo, havo and vwo);
- Dutch children living abroad;
- adults learning Dutch as a second language (NT2);
