The English language comes with a rich history and culture that we will also explore to deepen your understanding. I am a flexible teacher, and encourage critical dialogue in the classroom about my teaching as to best adapt my lessons to my students' needs. I am available for preparation for exams (such as TOEFL, IGCSE, SAT) and also more informal lessons to improve conversational English.

About Me

Hello! My name is Anna, I am from the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, but I have lived in China for most of my life. English is my native language, and I have a strong interest in literature and culture. I have been in international environments all my life, and thus have a multicultural background that has enabled flexibility and openness that I bring with me wherever I go. I am also an extremely curious person, and have a passion for learning languages, as well as reading and writing.

I have done several volunteering experiences in different countries and informally taught conversational English.

I am ready to provide private English lessons for beginners and also advanced one. I am flexible to the number of hours you are willing to learn and i should adjust myself to the convenience of the students and adults. I can teach either individually or with a group of people.

This class focuses of the most basic English you can use either professionally or for personal reasons (new member in the family, wish for travel etc.). According to the level of the student, I can adjust the theme and difficulty of the course in the way that anyone can follow it easily. The topics I will introduce can also vary considering the age and interests of the student in order to make the class as less boring as possible.

English is not an easy language, but with some basic exercises and mnemonic tips, anyone is able to speak it, read it, understand it and write it. My expertise is the result of many years of practice. Try it today !

Over 16 years now, my students have been passing their English/ESL exams and have been able to tremendously improve their English skills to the point where they are able to now speak like Western native speakers! Essay writing is a huge area of focus in my classes as well!
