English Language Lessons for All Levels
From 70.15 C$ /h
In my class, we will approach English language learning in new, creative, and dynamic ways. The English language comes with a rich history and culture that we will also explore to deepen your understanding. I am a flexible teacher, and encourage critical dialogue in the classroom about my teaching as to best adapt my lessons to my students' needs. I am available for preparation for exams (such as TOEFL, IGCSE, SAT) and also more informal lessons to improve conversational English.

About Me
Hello! My name is Anna, I am from the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, but I have lived in China for most of my life. English is my native language, and I have a strong interest in literature and culture. I have been in international environments all my life, and thus have a multicultural background that has enabled flexibility and openness that I bring with me wherever I go. I am also an extremely curious person, and have a passion for learning languages, as well as reading and writing.
Education
Erasmus University College: Liberal Arts and Sciences Bachelor, Majoring in Sustainability and Minoring in Intersectional Perspectives and Re-imagining Tomorrow through Arts & Sciences.
Experience / Qualifications
I have my Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate, thus I am trained to teach various aspects of the English grammar and have access to the course's teaching materials.
I have taken two pedagogical courses (bell hooks: Teaching to Transgress and Re-imagining Tomorrow through Arts & Sciences) which explored alternative teaching methods that centre student voices in the classroom.
I have done several volunteering experiences in different countries and informally taught conversational English.
I was also part of the tutoring program in my high school for two years, where I taught English and Mathematics.
