Having finished my Bachelor's degree in Spain and Master's in Groningen, I am currently a freelance performer and teacher. With plenty of experience in orchestras and chamber music all around Europe, when I came to Groningen I could explore other genres and I am currently playing in different ensembles related with classical, pop, jazz, folk, experimental or improvisation. My teaching method comes directly from renowned teachers as Kati Sebestyen and Juan Luis Gallego, but also adds my own intuition and self-discovery and acquired knowledge during pedagogy courses. During my lessons I create a good base for violin playing, understanding that it is all a combination of steps that we need to put together with consciousness, patience, joy and practice. Finally it is all about doing music and enjoy. The control of our mind and body is what give us the tools to make an instrument sound :) With genuine pedagogical intention, my lessons are very dynamic, joyful and efficient. Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. For many people improvisation is a scary word and having to improvise in a group or band is an alarming prospect. However, this really does not need to be the case. As long as you have a basic knowledge of how to play your instrument you will be able to improvise. Once you know the principle of how chords are formed you will soon be improvising with ease. If you play a keyboard instrument you will be able to improvise your own pieces and be able to entertain your friends at a moments notice.
