The rule is simple: don't be afraid to make a fool of yourself! Students are encouraged to try, fail, and overall be proactive in learning new information in bite-sized chunks: all of that in a warm and comforting environment.

Depending on the personal goal of the student, we will learn/refine/explore the following topics:
- Fundamental techniques of playing electric bass
- Understanding and coming up with a bassline
- What makes it groove?
- How to improvise: soloing and walking bass
- How to change the underlying harmonies of a song to make it sound cooler (or weirder!)
- Understanding how the musical elements are glued in a song, and if you dare, how to write one yourself
- How to learn music or play music by ear

Languages: English (fluent), German (B1 and improving), Korean (native)

About Me
So, this is where people write fancy things about themselves...

I can write a little about myself too. I have studied and performed on three different continents, obtaining a master's degree in jazz piano and a bachelor's degree in jazz electric bass while playing in the local scenes and touring internationally as well. I've participated in several jazz and jazz-fusion-originated projects and many more, from theatre pit performances to avant-garde and modern classical projects as well. This is also when I started to take music teaching seriously: providing private instrument lessons on both piano and bass, leading group studies for piano and music theory, and participating as an ear-training TA, teaching a Digital Music Notation course, and substituting for the instructor faculty for their classes at my alma mater as well.

But what is the point of all this?

Over the years, I have witnessed friends and colleagues - despite studying with the brightest musicians in the best institutions - quit music nevertheless, or even worse: be so proficient in it but simultaneously be completely indifferent to it from the inside - almost like a zombie.

Of course, learning and mastering the craft of music is critical (after all, we all do want to be good musicians), but what is just as pivotal (if not more) is the spark: the spark that triggers your curiosity and makes you impatient for what is going to be happening next; the spark that brings back the life in the eyes; and the spark that made me commit to the risky change of the course from a stable academic career to a full-time musicianship 14 years ago.

I sincerely wish to communicate that same enthusiasm to you!

Experience / Qualifications
I have taught piano, electric bass, and music theory to a diverse group of people in a variety of settings - their ages ranging from early teens to senior citizens, and the experiences ranging from almost complete beginners to enthusiastic hobbyists and students who are preparing for or are already accepted to conservatoires.

My main fields are jazz piano, pop piano, classical piano(beginner-intermediate level), and electric bass. Topics include instrumental technique, improvisation, reading music, understanding harmony, and ear training.

While most of my lessons were in the form of private lessons, I have led group studies for university circles for jazz piano and jazz harmony, was the conservatorium instructor for a Digital Music Notation class(Sibelius), and, already during my conservatoire years, was a solid pick for teachers to substitute for their ensemble and ear training classes while they were absent.

I am a violinist based in Vienna with extensive performance and teaching experience. The last few years I have studied in many cities (such as Frankfurt, Brussels and Amsterdam), learning from some of the best music professors in Europe.

Have you always wanted to play the violin? Or maybe your child is into music and would love to learn to play an instrument? Then, this might be a great opportunity for you to fulfill that desire.

If on the contrary you are an advanced student, I would love to help you build solid technique and support your own musicality.

On the other hand, I do love all kinds of music. I am happy to work with you in Pop or Folk songs for example. I did play many years in Pop and Folk bands at different venues, such as resorts in Greece! If you would like to, any song can be arranged and played on the violin.

I love meeting new students and helping them through their journey with the instrument. Every individual has different needs and goals and as a teacher I work together with every student, giving them the tools, knowledge and support they need to reach those goals.

Making music and learning how to do it should be always a enjoyable process. Fortunately, when you like music and have a supportive and experienced teacher, helping you out and giving you the tools you need in every moment, that joy and stress-free music-making comes easily.

I have 10 years of experience teaching private lessons to different ages and levels and several years of teaching internships during my studies.

Please, do not hesitate to contact me for any further questions or book.
