I want the marimba student to become aware of the different sounds that a marimba can produce, based on those sounds I want to improve his technique and teach him to phrase. All this from relaxation. We also look at the different techniques that are possible on the marimba and find which one suits you best. I teach both beginners and advanced students.

Enthusiastic and experienced drum teacher (26) with broad training in jazz (both contemporary and traditional), pop and rock music. I graduated from the KASK Conservatory, and also obtained a master's degree in music education. During my studies I followed masterclasses by Mark Guiliana (David Bowie), Dré Pallemaerts (Melanie De Biasio, Novastar), Joey Baron etc. I am also active with numerous bands in the live and studio circuit, which provides the necessary experience.

During the lessons we follow the interest of the student as much as possible, combined with a general basis.

Provided I follow my master's diploma tuba (euphonium), master percussion as well as master trombone, I can teach different instruments.

During the lessons there is the choice to implement solfège or to keep only the instrument technical. I work very constructively and I like to listen to the wishes / goals of the student.

Feel free to contact me for some additional information!

Many greetings,
Sam

Pop, rock, jazz or other styles. I myself am mainly active as a rock drummer. I have been drumming for eighteen years and play/have played in a drum band, a youth orchestra, a big band, a rock band, a folk band and in cover bands.

I have a secondary school teacher's diploma for the subjects English, biology and music. In this training I learned the necessary didactic principles to teach well.

Have you always wanted to learn to play drums, but didn't know where to start? Or do you already have several years of experience, but are you no longer able to make progress? Then you've come to the right place!
We start from your own interests (or needs to start your own learning trajectory together) and discover where your strengths and weaknesses lie to work on it together. Whether you want to learn about rock, pop, funk, jazz, metal, reggae, latin, r&b, blues, ... everything is possible!

I graduated from the conservatory of Ghent and also have several years of experience teaching in different music schools. I also have a lot of experience as a performing musician with various bands including John Ghost, Elias D'Hooge Trio, Kin Gajo and Olga Jane.

In addition to giving drum lessons, I can also teach you about (advanced) music theory and teach you my secrets to improve your musical hearing.

Have you always wanted to learn to play the drums? Always wanted to experience what it's like to sit behind a drum kit or on stage? Then you've come to the right place!
I'm Sam and I've been active as a drummer in the pop/rock scene in Belgium for years. For example, I play with Mayorga (winner De Nieuwe Lichting 2023), Tinne Oltmans, LANI and other bands, I have recorded songs such as "Bad Grades" by Kids With Buns in the studio and I have performed at almost all known festivals. already played. I am happy to pass on my knowledge about technique, fills and grooves at your own level and pace. Or do you just want to know more about recording drums and the different sounds, sticks, microphones... you can use? I will also be happy to help you with that! Is it already starting to itch for you? Then be sure to contact us and we'll see each other soon!

In my drum lessons, we'll start by laying down the foundation of drumming techniques, including proper posture, grip, and rhythm. My drum lessons can go in all directions. From jazz to pop and rock and hip hop. Always starting from a good technical basis and live guidance. For all levels and age groups. Usually I build up the lessons from technical exercises. These serve as a warm-up and basic vocabulary for the student. The technical exercises start with simple single strokes but quickly build up to rolls, accents, double strokes and flams. The second part of a lesson covers the knowledge of different grooves. Both two-part and three-part grooves are part of the lesson package, but also quintuplets of grooves. In the last part of the lesson, the student has the freedom to bring his own music and analyze it during the lesson.

Hi, My name is Robbe (26). Are you looking for your first drum lessen or someone who can help you with styles, technical aspects or musicality to improve as a drummer?
3 years ago I graduated as a Masters drum at the concervatory in Ghent. I'm experienced in both studio and live situations and would love to pass on my knowledge.

I would love to get to know you and share my passion for drumming! Whether you are a beginner or an advanced drummer, I am here to help you with questions about technique, improvisation/chops, playing along with songs, unusual time signatures/subdivisions, theory, etc.

I am currently in my fifth and final year at the conservatory in Ghent and have extensive experience with various genres such as jazz, hip hop, pop, rock, metal (+double pedal), Latin, etc. It goes without saying that I am open to different types of music. Additionally, I already have 5 years of teaching experience and am working towards obtaining my educational master's degree.

During the lesson you will always be able to choose what you would like to learn. This can be conceptual but also a song that you would like to learn to play. So it is built on the interests of the student.

After the lesson, a summary of the lesson is sent to the student. There is a clear lesson program and course, so smooth progress is assured!

Does this all sound like music to your ears? Are you ready to reveal your drumming spirit? Then sign up for a half hour/hour lesson. That way you can feel for yourself whether it clicks 'drum-wise' or not.

The idea is to provide personalized lessons and alternate lessons focused on technical topics with lessons that cover songs (or portions) related to the topics covered, in order to develop the student's ear in a broader context (even if without a band). The difficulty of the songs will vary based on the student's response, as well as the genre of music covered. The transition from technique to practice is fluid and engaging.

I'm an experienced and acclaimed teacher with some international experience and an actual
degree in music pedagogy. I play gigs with a variety of bands in a variety of different styles. All
my teaching is based on actual practical experience from real life with real musicians!
In my lessons you are in the front and center! We'll focus on the music that you like and how
to become the musician you want to be - figuring out the essentials and tips and tricks along the
way! And if you haven't found your musical direction yet, not to worry! We'll figure it out together!
My specialties lie in straight ahead jazz but I've been through, and still very much like, the
likes of Bon Jovi, Avenged Sevenfold, Toto and many more! So whether you're looking to get
started, dig deeper, or go far, while having fun - or just to have fun - let's book a lesson and
make it happen!
