Hi, I'm Alex! I'm an English teacher with a TEFL certification and Cambridge TKT qualifications. I currently teach at the British School, a Cambridge exam centre, and have taught English in schools and companies, working with children, teenagers and adults, including university students and professionals.

I offer General English, conversation, Business English and preparation for Cambridge exams and IELTS. Whatever brings you to my lessons, I want to help you say what you mean, understand others and feel comfortable using English.

Alongside teaching, I have direct experience organising and running hundreds of Cambridge and IELTS exam sessions across Liguria, Lombardy and Piedmont. For Cambridge, this includes both paper-based and digital exams, from Young Learners through to C1 Advanced and C2 Proficiency.

I've lived abroad and learned other languages both as a child and as an adult. I've also forgotten a language and learned it again, so I know how much confidence, motivation and the way you're taught matter. I want you to feel at ease, enjoy learning and leave each lesson wanting to use your English.

My lessons are active and friendly. I call my approach Adaptive English because I adjust the pace and activities to your level and how you're doing. You'll speak, write and put grammar and vocabulary to use, with helpful feedback and time to ask questions. And if a word disappears just when you need it, don't worry—we'll find it together.

My lesson ideas start with my own teaching experience and creativity. When useful, I use AI to refine an idea or adapt it for you. Between lessons, I give you speaking and writing activities connected to what we've practised, with guidance on how to use them. I also show you ways to think and respond in English, and bring English into things you already enjoy.

I prepare students for Cambridge KET (A2), PET (B1), FCE (B2), CAE (C1) and CPE (C2), as well as IELTS, and younger learners for Starters, Movers and Flyers. We strengthen your English and practise simple, useful strategies: understanding tasks, organising answers, managing time and avoiding mistakes that can cost marks.

Lessons are available online and in person in Genoa. You can start with a 30-minute online lesson to get to know each other and see how we can work together. Ready when you are.

About Me

I currently teach English at the British School, a Cambridge exam centre, and have delivered courses in schools and companies for children, teenagers, university students and working professionals.

I have also completed Cambridge and IELTS exam administration training.

I also have a background in computer engineering and have worked as a project manager, coordinating technical teams. This experience helps me relate to university students and professionals who want to feel more confident using English in their studies and working lives.
