About Me
Passionate about jazz since I was born, I have had the opportunity to play and teach around the world: New York, Japan, Paris and Geneva. My career has allowed me to collaborate with prestigious big bands (Jazzmobile, Jazz Interactions, Muse Big Bands, etc.) and to share the stage with great musicians.
I have taught jazz history and practice at Yale, Rutgers University, and the Lili and Nadia Boulanger Conservatory in Paris. I have a Ph.D. in ethnomusicology from Columbia University. I am also the author of several books on jazz and Cuban and Brazilian music.
I studied harmony for over twelve years with Bernard Maury, founder of the Bill Evans Piano Academy in Paris. Today, I share this musical richness through personalized lessons, accessible to all levels, where you learn not only to play, but also to feel and improvise freely.
👉 My goal: to share my love of jazz and help you develop your own musical personality.
