Do you want to improve your English or French, speak with more confidence, or benefit from personalized academic support?

Belgian and South African, with native French and English speakers, I hold a Master's degree from SOAS, University of London, and a Bachelor's degree from Leiden University. My international background allows me to guide you in learning these two languages and their cultural nuances.

I offer support tailored to your level, your pace and your objectives:
• Conversation, pronunciation and confidence in speaking;
• Grammar, vocabulary and written expression;
• Comprehension of texts and audio content;
• Academic support and homework help;
• Everyday French for non-French speakers;
• English for travel, study or work.

The sessions combine discussions, targeted exercises, and materials related to your interests. My goal is to help you progress in a supportive environment where you can ask questions and practice without fear of making mistakes.

About Me

English & French with a Native Speaker – Fun, Personalised Lessons for Children and Adults

66 C$ /h

Want to feel more confident speaking English or French? Looking for encouraging, engaging language support for your child? Let’s make learning something to look forward to!

I’m Alizée, a Belgian and South African native speaker of both English and French. With a master’s degree from SOAS, University of London, and a bachelor’s degree from Leiden University, I bring an international outlook and a love of languages to our lessons.

Together, we can work on:
• Conversation, pronunciation and confidence;
• Grammar and vocabulary that you can actually use;
• Reading, writing and listening skills;
• Schoolwork, homework and revision;
• Everyday French for life in a French-speaking environment;
• Practical English for travel, study and work.

For children, I use games, stories, pictures and small challenges to make learning engaging, alongside focused support with schoolwork.

For adults, lessons centre on your interests and real situations: chatting while travelling, understanding your favourite series, preparing a presentation or simply finding your words more easily.

Each lesson is tailored to your level, pace and goals, with a balance of conversation, clear explanations and focused practice. There’s always room for questions, mistakes and a little laughter along the way!

One-off and regular lessons are available online or in person, depending on location and availability.

Send me a message with your preferred language, current level and goals, and we can plan your first lesson together!

As an educator and teacher, I believe that it is essential to attend tutoring classes when the student needs support outside of school hours. My job is to adapt the classes and exercises individually for each student, in order to bring out their maximum potential. In a playful and participatory way, concepts can be assimilated with meaningful learning.
I am also a professional dancer graduated from the conservatory of Madrid, so I offer private ballet or flamenco classes, in order to prepare the student for possible auditions or tests.

Do you want to improve your English, regain confidence, prepare for an exam or simply feel more comfortable speaking? I offer English lessons tailored to your level, your goals and your learning style.

I lived in the United Kingdom for 6 years, where I pursued my studies until obtaining a Master's degree in Glasgow in 2018. After several years of training and work in Glasgow and then London, I returned to Geneva in 2020. I continue to use English daily, both in my professional and personal life.

My priority is adapting to the individual I'm working with. I'm patient, a good listener, and a skilled teacher, and I strive to make learning concrete, accessible, and motivating. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all method, I take the time to understand each student's needs and challenges in order to create a personalized learning plan.

I also know from experience that academic difficulties are not inevitable. During my own schooling in middle school and high school in Geneva, I encountered difficulties and worked with several tutors. This experience allowed me to "learn how to learn," to gain confidence, and to progress until I obtained my high school diploma with honors.

It is this experience that I like to pass on today: giving tools, restoring confidence and finding with each student the way that will allow them to progress.

Whether you are a beginner, wish to consolidate your basics, improve your oral and written expression or prepare for an academic or professional goal, we will define together a method adapted to your needs.

As a current bachelors physics student i know the stuggle of not understanding maths and physics, that why I think i will be able to help you surpass this barriers and finally understand the concepts. I trully believe that to fully learn a concept you have to understand it, and that is how i orient my classes. Instead of memorizing concepts, grasping how to use them and how to apply them to excell academically.

-Classes of Math for school practice or exams at any level.
-Classes of Physics at any level.
-Preparation for exam
-Help with homework

I can teach in English and Spanish. My level of French is still progressing.

Learning English as a foreign language can be daunting, but it doesn't have to be!

After an aptitude test to determine your English level and highlight your strengths and weaknesses, I can provide tailored classes to help you improve in the four key skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) and guide you through the complexities of grammar.

Having taught adults throughout my CELTA teacher training, and working as an English teacher with children, I am comfortable providing classes for all ages and adapt each lesson for the student's age and interest.

I look forward to seeing you in class!

I have been an English teacher for three years, with experience teaching children and adults, both privately and in language schools. I have completed specialized training in teaching beginners, which allows me to tailor my lessons to each student.

I am patient and attentive, and I create a pleasant and motivating learning environment. My goal is for each student to progress with confidence, speaking and understanding English clearly and practically.

My courses are designed for beginners and intermediate levels (A1-B1), for both children and adults. I emphasize a practical and communicative approach, with exercises and activities based on real-life situations. Each session is structured yet flexible, adapted to your pace and goals, so you can use English in everyday life right from the start.

I also emphasize living English, with different accents, common expressions and a bit of slang, so that you understand and speak real and natural English, and discover British and American culture.
