About Emma:
Born in Connecticut, USA, I am a native English speaker and have lived in the Canton of Geneva for a year. I have always been fascinated by French culture. After graduating with a BA in French Studies with a minor in Education and Child Studies at Smith College in 2011, I pursued teaching opportunities across the United States (including Hawaii, California, New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts), then I spent the last 5 years teaching English and French in France and Switzerland. I also hold a study certificate from Paris VII Diderot and I am currently pursuing a master's degree in educational sciences ('AISE' option) at the University of Geneva.
I am an entrepreneur, and I have created tutoring services in French and English in the United States and Switzerland. And There you go ! and Open English (respectively) are the platforms I created myself and on which I provide highly effective one-on-one learning experiences for children and adults of all ages.

Extra information
I use resources and methods that I created in conjunction with business and pre-professional learning materials from Oxford and Cambridge. If desired, we can also use your (school) materials if necessary. I usually teach English in French so you can get the most out of the lesson. For children, I offer homework support, games and activities in English, as well as reading and conversation lessons. Teaching is my passion: I want to help you achieve all your goals and live your dreams in another language.
