English and Test-Prep Tutoring with an emphasis on the conversational use of language

Hello, I'm a young teacher currently living in Fribourg. I'm a CELTA graduate (Cambridge English Language Teaching for Adults) and I would love to help you with any issues concerning homework, essay writing or helping out with any fear you may have with communicating in English (and don't worry, we've all been there)!

More specifically:
- I would be creating a special course plan specifically made for you and what you may be struggling with
- I only speak in English to create an English-speaking friendly environment where making mistakes is cherished and used as a tool towards getting better
- I like to teach grammar in a fun way, through conversation, games and functional language (the language you may be used in every-day situations i.e. while shopping, asking for directions, etc.)
- As I previously said, mistakes are cherished in my classes, I would be collecting them, and at the end of every class, you would most likely be able to correct them yourself!

About Me

Hello, I'm a young person with a big passion for teaching and languages. My love for teaching appeared as I discovered that I myself don't learn very efficiently when approached by the more 'traditional' way of teaching (i.e. the I preach- You write down method) so I decided to find the easiest way possible for me to learn, I discovered that it was through conversation and putting language into context rather than stare at rows and tables all day long. I soon realized that I wasn't the only one who felt this way and I completed the CELTA (Cambridge English Language Teaching for Adults) course which helped me understand that we all learn differently, some through conversation, some through music, some through movement, but ultimately we all need this factor of putting language into a real-life situation in order to truly understand it.
This is what I mean to do, I would be creating a personalized lesson plan for all my students and having the first lesson (45 minutes), in order to understand what your interests are, how you like to learn and what motivates you. I hope to inspire you and show you just how amazing and fun English can be.
