I am a physicist with a doctorate from the University of Bremen and about 1,400 hours of classroom and laboratory teaching behind me: mathematics at secondary school, introductory physics for business and humanities undergraduates, physics laboratory classes for pre-medical students, and master's level exercise classes in atmospheric physics. I have also tutored American high-school students online, one to one over a shared whiteboard.

What a lesson looks like: we start from the problem you are stuck on, not from the chapter heading. You show me your attempt, we find the exact step where it went wrong, and we work from there until you can do the next one without me.
