About Me

I am Nina - I am a Master's student of psychology and I enjoy cooking, dancing (Salsa and Forro) and meeting up with friends.

Iparticularly enjoy coming up with creative ways to teach that students find fun, so they enjoy coming to class and take a lot away from it - after all, it's much easier to learn with joy and a good mood :-) We will find the right learning strategies for you together. In the session, we will discuss specific difficulties in the subject or homework. I am also happy to support you with suitable learning methods and task planning so that you can learn efficiently outside of tutoring. We can create a learning plan together and, after class tests, review what went well and what we still need to work on.

I find it very fulfilling when my students have understood a concept, especially that "Ah!" moment when the task is no longer a mystery. I always found it very sad to see when students came to me thinking they were "dumb" because they couldn't keep up in class or thought they "couldn't do math." The best moment is when students realize that they are definitely smart enough to understand the school material and leave the session with newfound confidence.

Education

I am a Master's student in Psychology, so I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and graduated from high school in Germany with a top GPA of 1.0. In school, I had advanced courses in Mathematics and English, and I am currently studying modules in Mathematics at university, especially in Linear Algebra and Statistics/Stochastics. I speak English at a native level (also due to my bilingual studies) and French and Spanish at B2 level, so I can provide support up to high school graduation.
