My classes are highly personalised, academically rigorous, and tailored to each student’s individual strengths, challenges, and goals. Whether you are preparing for IB or IGCSE examinations, working on an Internal Assessment or Extended Essay, or simply aiming to improve your confidence and analytical writing skills, lessons are designed to provide both structure and intellectual depth.
As an experienced international teacher, IB examiner, and Senior Examiner, I help students develop the precise skills needed to succeed in high-level English courses and assessments. Lessons focus not only on improving grades, but also on strengthening critical thinking, interpretation, academic expression, and independent analysis.
Areas commonly covered include:
Literary and textual analysis
Essay planning and refinement
Paper 1 and Paper 2 preparation
Individual Oral (IO) support
Higher Level Essay (HLE) guidance
Extended Essay supervision
Exam strategy and time management
Academic writing and argument structure
My teaching style is supportive, engaging, and intellectually stimulating. I strive to create an environment in which students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring ideas deeply, and developing confidence in their own voice and analytical abilities.
Lessons are available online or in person (Geneva region), individually or in small groups. Intensive revision sessions before mocks and final examinations are also available.

About Me
I am a highly experienced IB and IGCSE English Language & Literature specialist with over 10 years of international teaching experience across Switzerland, Germany, and Italy. Since 2016, I have also worked as an External Examiner for IB English A Literature, and in 2023 I was promoted to Team Leader (Senior Examiner) for IB English Language & Literature, supervising and supporting teams of examiners during international assessment sessions.
This dual perspective as both teacher and examiner gives my students a unique advantage: I help them not only understand texts deeply, but also master the precise analytical, structural, and academic skills required to succeed at the highest level in IB and IGCSE assessments.
My teaching style combines academic rigour with warmth, encouragement, and intellectual curiosity. I specialise in helping students:
strengthen literary and textual analysis
develop sophisticated essay-writing skills
build confidence in oral assessments
refine academic expression and argumentation
improve exam technique and time management
approach literature with greater depth, clarity, and independence
I have taught students from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities, including ambitious IB HL students aiming for top grades and competitive university pathways.
Alongside my professional teaching experience, I hold:
an IB Diploma from the International School of Geneva (Ecolint)
a BA in English Language & Education
an MA in Education from the IOE, University of London
a Swiss-recognised teaching qualification
My passion for literature, language, and education has shaped my entire academic and professional journey, and I genuinely enjoy helping students discover confidence and intellectual enjoyment in English.
