I'm an experienced English teacher from London and have worked for the past ten years in journalism, editing and communications. I have extensive experience working within the Brussels bubble and specialise in helping students adapt to professional life here. I enjoy helping my students improve their business English fluency and understanding of idiomatic expressions to really take their English to the next level.

I have a British accent, however, I am familiar with the nuances of other accents and spelling differences. I have a lot of experience in helping newcomers to the British accent understand the subtle pronunciation differences that will make it far easier for you to understand.

I teach anything from beginners all the way up to advanced learners who want to brush up on their writing or public speaking skills.

I also offer an editing and proof-reading service.

Depending on what the student requires I can set homework, however if activities should be limited to classroom hours then I'm always willing to make things more interesting. I like to use TV, film and real-life situations to help students really remember and relate to the language.

I've lived in the UK, Spain, Brazil and now Belgium and love discussing other cultures, societies and environments. It's really for fulfilling for me to incorporate all of this into my lessons and watch students progress over time. I prefer giving conversational lessons and only guiding students on points of grammar they don't understand (as the grammar all starts to make sense when you get the rhythm and vocabulary first!). My lessons incorporate video and other listening and interactive activities.
