Creative writing is a very important part of language skills and specifically GCSE English. I make sure students are using multiple language features/ techniques to enhance their writing skills and improve their confidence.

The student is given examples and a structure for the writing. Feedback is provided throughout and corrections are made as the student goes along.

- Please note lesson times are 2 hours minimum. Less can be agreed but goes against my recommendation.
- In the event that I am travelling to a student, parking must be made available or a permit must be provided.

Extra information

A workbook will need to bought before hand from WHSmith or Waterstons. I can provide it for you but the cost of it will be added to your lesson fee. Should you wish to buy it yourself, the name will be provided.

I am a Lawyer and spend my whole day writing up legal documents.

Before this, during my degree I was a private tutor teaching GCSE English Language and Literature to groups of 3. I did this for 2 years before moving on to tutor privately 1 to 1. I have a total of 3 years experience in tutoring. Alongside this, I worked in a college assisting students with coursework and UCAS applications.

A good start of preparing ,understanding and knowing where the child needs more support is very crucial. I assign simple homework to better understand their weakness and strengths and hereafter recommend handbooks as per their needs and we work together for better results.
