I teach a variety of lessons to students of a variety of ages as well as adults. These include courses in modern global history, Japanese history, language and culture, academic English (particularly designed to help non-native speakers develop reading and writing skills, and critical thinking). I can also offer tutoring to meet a specific need, such as preparation for GCSEs and A-levels.

I graduated in MA Hons English Literature and History in 2019 from The University of Edinburgh and I am currently finishing my MFA Acting for a Stage and Screen at Edinburgh Napier University. I have experience teaching childrens drama classes for those aged 4 to 11 and of English Language Summer Schools for those aged 11 to 16. In addition, I have tutored the subjects of English, History and Drama across GCSE, A-Level and Undergraduate level. Each session is tailored to the needs of the individual and can cover specific curriculum content as well as essay, exam and coursework technique. I am flexible on the length of time of these sessions and can host these both online or in person if in Edinburgh.

I offer classes on History, Geography, and Political Science, with over 11 years' of experience in these subjects, both professionally and academically. I hold Bachelor's Degrees in both History and Political Science (from the University of Florida), as well as a Master's in Political Science, specifically European Politics (from KU Leuven). I have extensive experience in a wide range of historical and political subjects and have always had a keen interest in history and the social sciences. Additionally, previously I have been a journalist (dealing with Competition Law) and currently am an editor working on a wide variety of subjects for organizations such as the UNHCR and Goethe Institut, among others. I am capable of teaching and lecturing on numerous historical and political events and periods in history, with myself having specialized in European history, American history, African history, as well as the Medieval period and Antiquity.

I offer tutoring for children in primary and lower secondary school. This course introduces secondary and sixth-form students to the evolution of global civilizations, with a focus on comparative history, political thought, and social transformation. Drawing on 30+ years of experience teaching History and Liberal Studies in Hong Kong—including at A-Level and university level—I guide students through themes such as colonialism, revolutions, global conflicts, and modern political ideologies. Italian is the language of literature, of bel canto, and the language of one of the most beautiful countries in the world. In my course we will start with the linguistic and phonetic basics to then advance to more complex writings. You will practice speaking and correct pronunciation, to then arrive at written exercises, which you will also have to do at home to better assimilate the contents.

Beginning with the agricultural revolution, and then the industrial revolution, and then the World Wars, investigate what led up to the Cold War. Investigate the irony of thw historical streams colliding into one with the irony of many newly liberated countries being sucked into the global battle being waged in the north. A look at a dozen of so case examples, to include Korea, Guatemala, Iran, Cuba, Chile, the Congo, Indonesia, Vietnam, Chile, Nicaragua, and Honduras, of the consequences of the Cold War. A look at modern events from Iran, the migration crisis, Cuba, Venezuela, Russian and Ukraine through the lens of the Cold War never having ended.

I am a history teacher, having graduated with honors from UNLu and honored by the National Academy of History as the highest national average. I have been focused on private education for over half a decade, both at the academic and secondary levels.
