Classical piano and musicianship: interpretation, practice and performance
From 38.45 C$ /h
The purpose of this course is to help students develop their musical sensibility as (classical) pianists. Whether it be online or in person-- though in person is preferred, as it makes teaching more engaging--, classes will consist of a play-through of a specific repertoire followed by advice on technique, interpretation and practice methods. The students can bring their own pieces to play or I can provide some myself, and the goal will be to ensure that this is played faithfully with respect to the score, but most importantly, musically, and in this way to rapidly but securely build repertoire.

About Me
I have been playing classical piano since the age of five. Although I don't study music, I do practice for hours every day and continue to be taught by distinguished Chilean pianist, Felipe Browne. I have played in school recitals and won a piano competition in high school in 2021.
I am passionate about all of the classical repertoire, from Bach through Mozart and Beethoven on to Chopin, Scriabin, Rachmaninoff, Debussy and more. My greatest abilities lie in technique and interpretation, and my greatest interest is making the music come alive. I hope to encourage in students a passion for classical piano.
