I teach French and Russian to kids, students and adults.

I have been teaching French/Russian since I was 14 years old. I helped my classmates pass their French and Russian exams by teaching them vocabulary and grammar. I have also helped them understand history, French and Russian literature, philosophy...

I have also helped kids learn French/Russian from the beginning while concentrating on broadening their general knowledge.

I have different approaches and techniques depending on my student.

-If I teach French/Russian to a kid, the lesson usually lasts for an hour. We play games, watch short movies, sing songs and discuss his topics of interest. The lesson is highly interactive, and the child is highly involved in the process.

-If I teach French/Russian to a student/adult, the lesson may last up to an hour and a half. Methods vary, depending on the level of proficiency in the language. We talk about different topics of interest and develop speaking and writing skills in a way that is interesting to the student.
If interested, French/Russian literature is studied by authors such as Baudelaire/Tolstoy and Maupassant/Turgenev. We could also converse about French/Russian history, culture and the country's traditions.

About Me

I graduated from a French school where my interest in psychology, especially helping people, has developed.
I have volunteered to teach kids different languages while I was at school (such as Russian and English) and allowed students to have better results at school and during their exams. I have also helped my little sister learn French and Russian, which has influenced me to give lessons to kids.
Now, I am a student at the University of Edinburgh, where I study Business and Psychology.
Interacting with people daily and seeing them perform and succeed makes me happy. Thus, as one of my goals at university, I want to help people become better at something they are unfamiliar with. I want them to gain confidence in themselves and show them they can achieve every goal they set.

I have graduated from the French Lyceum of Moscow in 2022.
I am currently studying at the University of Edinburgh and will complete my Business and Psychology studies in 2026.

I have been an examiner for AQA and am familiar with both AQA and Edexcel GCSE and A-level specifications, having taught the Edexcel spec before. I have tutored French to children (beginner to bilingual) and adults. The planning and delivery of my classes will be dependent on the individual needs of my students.

I have also worked as a primary school teacher and am an excellent teacher of primary school maths and English.

French is a very beautiful language but this one is rather complex.
I offer fun learning, adapted to the knowledge of the apprentice. The goal here is to progress by taking the time necessary to memorize each notion.
The first course will focus on an assessment of the apprentice's level in order to subsequently offer a personalized program adapted to level.

You'll learn and improve your French skills (oral, written and comprehension but also pronunciation). We can work with help of materials such as books, music or movies. The point is to have fun by learning this language and discovering another culture.

German course also available: based on the same model as the French course.

In this class I can provide foundation french lessons in speaking, reading, writing and listening. Depending on what you wish to achieve the lessons will be altered to fit your needs. I try to create a relaxed environment while keeping the lessons as rich as possible so you get the best experience.

French can be a difficult language to learn, especially if you are not surrounded by it all the time. However, a new language can be a useful for a CV, for University application, or even for your own cultural knowledge and experience. I can provide help with existing homework if you are already at school, and, I can be a source of practice (as practice makes progress!). I am very flexible and we can discuss what you feel you need to study. I will be here to offer advice on different things you can do to improve.
