In my experience over the past few years as a piano teacher to students of all levels and ages, I have found that people learn so much more when they are able to express themselves and have a fun time from the very first lesson. For this reason I focus on teaching piano and music through the lens of jazz, which allows for so much freedom as well as being really educational in all different styles of music. In my classes you will learn how music really works in a relevant way by studying music that you yourself enjoy listening to and would like to create, and practice dynamically using tools like backing tracks which make it feel like there is a band in the room with you! I also produce electronic/funk/neo soul music for my solo project and as a session musician. If learning music production interests you, I can also help you with that! I am happy to teach in my house in the 7th district or as well I can come to you. Please don't hesitate to be in touch. Thanks!

The following class is dedicated to helping students to achieve top grades in their HL and SL IB subjects in Economics, Geography, English Lang. Lit, and TOK. Having obtained 44 points in the IB program myself, and with over 7 years of experience tutoring students in the IB, I have a wealth of experience supporting students to fulfil their full potential. My classes are focused on both content revision, which is structured according to the official IB Syllabus, and wider strategies needed to succeed in the IB exams, including enhancing the student's test-taking and time-management skills. As a tutor, my lessons are always structured according to the specifics of what students are required to know and understand for the IB programme, rather than just the subject in general. The unique advantage that I bring is therefore that I have a specialised understanding of these subjects are taught and evaluated within the IB programme itself, which has a very unique structure and way of assessing students. In the past, my students have gone on to improve their grades in these subjects substantially, and ultimately able to meet their target universities' demands for their predicted grades. Previous students I have tutored have gone on to achieve offers from universities like LSE, Cambridge, and UCL. Indeed, I also have a wealth of experience supporting students with personal statements, and applying to competitive universities in the UK.

Hello, my name is Pia and I'm a flautist. :) I started learning the flute at the age of 8. I loved it right away, so after music school, I continued my studies at the conservatory in Maribor (Slovenia). I then studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. In 2024, I completed my bachelor's degree at the Gustav Mahler Private University in Klagenfurt. There, I earned a degree in concert performance and a degree in instrumental pedagogy. During my studies, I also completed a specialization course in early music, majoring in transverse flute. Therefore, I also offer lessons for beginners on this beautiful baroque instrument. During my studies, I had several private students with whom I explored the sounds of the flute and various genres (classical, pop, jazz, folk music, improvisation, etc.). My lessons are relaxed and communicative, full of collaborative music-making. Classes can also take place online. Beginners are just as welcome as those who want to deepen their knowledge or start playing the flute again after some time! :)

My lessons are especially for you if you want to achieve freedom and ease at the piano. As a composer, I develop my ideas through improvisation at the piano, which, trained through technique and knowledge, allows for a free discovery of one's own music. So you not only learn to play your favorite songs, but also to understand them and to come up with similar ones yourself. The lessons are completely flexible, and the focus is on fun and discovery. We can learn to play from sheet music or by ear. We can include harmony, rhythm, and ear training – whatever you prefer. It is also possible to focus on only one of these areas if you want to prepare for an entrance exam or something similar [rhythm and ear training].
