Amanda started studying the violin from age 4 with various teachers from the Sydney Conservatorium (incorporating influences from Suzuki and Alexander methods) and obtained a distinction in Licentiate of Violin Performance from the Australian Music Examination Board. In addition, she has performed in orchestral projects across Australia, Asia and Europe (including but not limited to the Australian Youth Orchestra, The Philharmonic Orchestra Singapore and the Hong Kong Orchestra) and also enjoys curating chamber music projects as well as improvising with pop and theatre groups. Amanda works very closely with her students to design a learning approach that works for both teacher and student, depending on various factors including but not limited to the student's musical background, technique and their commitment to learning.
