About Me
My name is Louis, I'm 36 years old. I studied classical percussion at the Paris 10th arrondissement conservatory and jazz drums at the Bobigny conservatory. I have experience teaching private lessons, leading workshops, and filling in at conservatories. I'm a freelance musician and work on various projects (music groups, live performances, composing music for film and television, beatmaking).
Education
I studied classical percussion, drums, music theory, arrangement, composition, analysis, writing, orchestra, piano and singing at the Conservatoires of Paris, Bobigny and at the Dante Agostini school. I passed a DEM in Jazz drums and a CEM in classical percussion.
Experience / Qualifications
I have been making music since I was 7 years old, my father gave me my first year of drum lessons being a drummer himself. Since my adolescence I have played in several groups and worked with different disciplines (music groups, theater music, music for dance, music for images: advertising, documentaries, cinema). I have been intermittent for 8 years. I have a Bac, and a DEM.

Looking to discover drumming for the first time, get back into it, or take your skills further? I offer fun, focused, and personalised drum lessons in a welcoming studio right here in Paris 19ème.

Tailored to You
Whether you're a total beginner or an advanced player, I adapt each lesson to your goals, pace, and style. Kids, teens, adults—everyone’s welcome.

What You'll Learn
Technique, rhythm, and groove

Rock, jazz, funk, world music and more

Ear training and musicality

Playing with backing tracks or in ensembles

Reading and improvisation

Technique and Lineage
My technical approach is rooted in the rebound-based methods passed down through the Murray Spivack tradition. I was taught by drummers who themselves trained in this lineage—helping you develop relaxed control, endurance, and tone.

Music as a Language
I teach music the way we naturally learn language: by listening and speaking before reading and writing. You’ll learn to feel rhythm, internalise timing, and express yourself on the drums. Reading and writing music are absolutely taught—but always in the right context, as tools to deepen your fluency and independence.

About Me
I'm an experienced educator and former professional drummer, passionate about helping others find their voice on the kit. I've taught students of all ages and backgrounds, and I believe music should be both serious and joyful.

Easy to Reach
The studio is in Paris 19ème, near [insert nearby métro stop if helpful], and easy to reach by public transport.

Flexible Scheduling
We’ll find times that work for you—daytime, evening, or weekend.

Sacha
Hello everyone,

My name is Sacha, I am a 32 year old professional drummer. I am endorsed by Soultone Cymbals (USA) and Agner Drumsticks (Switzerland). I started drums at the Dante Agostini school, I stayed there for four years and then I studied jazz drums at the conservatory for three years.
I have been giving lessons for almost ten years now because I have always loved teaching and sharing my experience!
I am currently part of several groups: ABRAHMA (stoner/doom), DELIVERANCE (post black/sludge) we were notably at Hellfest 2022 on the Valley stage and Temple and Le Cha (pop/funk in French).
I was also the touring drummer at the end of 2023/2024 for the band AL QASAR (many international dates including WOMAD 2024 in Australia and Sziget in Hungary in 2023)

I have rather rock/metal oriented influences, I was part of the group Sweat and Tears for four years with more than five hours of repertoire, resident at the Temple Rock Tavern (formerly Guinness Tavern). I also have experience in events with jazz bands (covers of standards) and jazz/funk with brass section (Stevie Wonder, Incognito, Jamiroquai, new JB's, etc.)

I give lessons in the HF studios of the 9th and 14th so that students can learn directly on an acoustic drum kit, which is very important to me.
The course is adapted to the student's level and desires, the goal being to allow him to be autonomous on the instrument as quickly as possible by teaching him the technical and reading basics. My method is inspired by the Agostini method but focuses more on learning pieces.

I started playing drums at the age of 4, already dreaming of one day making it my profession and participating in projects both on stage and in the studio.

Throughout my musical journey, I trained at various music schools and then with professional drummers, notably through the intensive program at Groove Academy, a drum school located in the 11th arrondissement of Paris. I then continued my training with a renowned drummer who has accompanied numerous pop artists and participated in some of the biggest musicals of recent years.

These years of practice and training have allowed me to develop a versatile playing style, a personal sound, great rhythmic precision, and the ability to adapt to a wide variety of musical contexts. From preparing a live set to last-minute studio adjustments, including transcribing, writing, or co-arranging a piece, these experiences have progressively enriched my approach to drumming and music.

Since arriving in Paris, I've been involved in numerous projects and experiences, both on stage and in the studio, ranging from French pop to indie rock projects like Marek Zerba's. I'm also part of the Parisian shoegaze band Healees, with whom I co-arrange, record, and perform in France and across Europe. In addition, I participate in various independent projects, such as the Brazilian pop of Isabella Green Catani and Banga, a cover band collective that's a regular at Supersonic nightclub in Paris.

This diversity of experiences informs my teaching approach today: to transmit a vibrant, musical drumming style adapted to each student, while developing listening skills, rhythm, and the joy of playing :)
