I am a professional musician living in The Hague with 6 years experience teaching from beginning to conservatory level. I studied the Bachelor in the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and the Master in the Royal Conservatory The Hague where I currently teach young musicians.

Dear Music Students, I am an American guitarist, composer, and teacher from the US newly relocated to the Netherlands, based in Delft and offering music lessons at home in my living room or at your location also in nearby cities such as the Hague and Rotterdam. I did my bachelor's in guitar performance at Berklee College of Music where I specialized in Jazz, and hold master's degrees from Yerevan State Conservatory and Royal Conservatoire Antwerp where I specialized in Composition and Electronic music. While my background is in Jazz my interests have always been broad and I'm happy to work with students at a variety of levels of experience, stylistic backgrounds and interests. Whether you are new to music and to the guitar and want to just learn the basics and strum the chords to some songs or are already interested in more advanced techniques and challenging pieces I'm sure with my background, education and experience that I can be a helpful resource for you. I do understand a bit of Dutch but I don't speak well yet so my lessons are taught in English. I started playing guitar in September 1996.I have performed extensively, including tours in a variety of bands, as a rhythm guitarist, lead guitarist, and composer. I have studied with private teachers or on my own, carefully selecting my books and teaching methods.I can teach pop and rock guitar in the broadest sense of the term, whether through pick playing or finger-picking. In addition, I have extensive knowledge of production, mixing, editing, and electronic music, which makes me very knowledgeable about effects pedals for electric guitarists. However, I teach both folk and electric guitar. I have been giving private lessons since 2008, alongside my life as a professional musician.
