How will a native speaker understand the struggles of learning their own native language? How will they know what's the most difficult thing about their mother tongue?

Stop signing up with native French speakers and learn from a person who speaks French fluently after having studied it from primary school all the way through to my professional career and speaks it on the daily with a French partner and his family and friends.

Do you want to start learning French but have never learnt it before? Or maybe you want to perfect your understanding of French grammar, or your capacity to express yourself clearly, spontaneously and with confidence in French? Or work on pronunciation, perhaps improve your accent and learn more about French culture?
I can help you with all of these, and not only because I was born and raised in France: after getting my Master's Degree in Lingustics and Anthropology from the School for Advanced Research in Paris - at the time I was also teaching private classes of French and English to high school and university students - I moved to the UK and studied theatre at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. There I worked on the skills any speaker needs to communicate clearly and convincingly: diction, voice projection, etc.
These two approaches - linguistics, and theatre work - give me a strong foundation from which to help any student learn French. So jump on: we'll build a learning program tailored to your needs and make sure that the lessons are both dense and fun.

The curriculum and study materials are provided in English, and studies are integrated across disciplines that include geography, biology, history, language, mathematics, science, music, and other forms of artistic expression. I also have a great collection of picture books and 3D wooden study materials, which I've used in classrooms.

As a recent graduate from a Master degree in teaching English, with 5 years of experience tutoring French children and students privately. During my two years of master, I taught English to secondary school students.
The theory and the practise, allowed me to develop my teaching skills and through tutoring I have learned to tailor my teaching methods to the student’s needs.
Moreover, throughout my years of tutoring, I could gave back the confidence that students were lacking in their education, which led to one of my students to obtain her “brevet” equivalent of the English GSCE with a high grade.
The success was hinged through the learning material that I created. Indeed, I produced my own lesson plans and I provided weekly progress homework.

Learning French is far more than acquiring a new language – it’s gaining a key to the wider world. With over 300 million speakers across 29 countries, French offers access to a rich and unique cultural, literary, and human heritage.
It also sharpens your English: over a third of English vocabulary comes from French. This shared history allows you to understand the etymology, structure, and subtle nuances of your own language more deeply.
I place great importance on teaching French in a way that is both engaging and well-structured. My lessons combine a literary approach: authentic texts, stories, cultural references; with practical skills for confident everyday communication. Whether your goal is to improve your speaking, broaden your horizons, or simply enjoy the beauty of the language, I’ll guide you with clarity, enthusiasm, and a supportive approach.

French is one of the most spoken languages in the world. Learning can start at any age and can become truly fulfilling.

As a French native speaker, I can teach all ages and levels from helping with homework, revising for tests, to perfecting your next oral exam. Having sat the French GCSE exam I am highly familiar with how the British schooling system tackles and marks students. J’espère pouvoir vous aider, à bientôt!

I studied Mathematics at the University of Oxford (Balliol College). I offer online private lessons in Mathematics, Computer Science and French.

For high-school students:
- Grades & understanding. For students who want to improve their results and deepen their grasp of their lecture notes, I offer tuition in Mathematics and French. I help students build the mathematical rigour they need to progress — turning ambiguous, complex notions into ideas they genuinely understand and can reason about with confidence.
- Oxbridge entrance preparation. Focused coaching for Oxford and Cambridge admissions tests and interviews in Mathematics. I have served as an interviewer in Mathematics at Hertford College and Balliol College, Oxford, so I know first-hand what the examiners are looking for.

For undergraduate students
- University-level lectures in Mathematics, Statistics and Machine Learning (from classical machine learning through to modern deep learning techniques).

I offer you a new learning experience.

Academic success, even at the university level, is determined by the ability to understand and write different types of texts. I offer courses that will allow you to overcome the difficulties you encounter in reading or writing by giving you the text-writing toolkit that school, unfortunately, doesn't provide. I myself had to build this toolkit over the years at university, and I will gladly share it with you so that you can succeed.

Here are the different points that my offer covers:

READING
Guided reading
Effective reading strategies
Text theory (structure, function, typology...)
General knowledge
Communication Theory

PRODUCTION
Reformulation
Summary
Reading log
Accurate
Text analysis
Characterization
Interpretation
Text explanation
Text commentary
Dissertation Essay
Comment
Argumentation

You can take a full course with regular sessions or one-off courses to do specific work such as writing a reading summary.

Lessons can be taken individually or in groups. The methods are flexible to adapt to each individual case.

What matters to me in particular:

motivate my student and give him a learning pace;
encourage their creativity;
to awaken his curiosity;
to forge a friendship with the texts

During this first lesson, you can get a solid idea of my teaching style. I look forward to meeting you.
