Students will also be prepared for professional music education. So whether the student wants to become a professional guitar player or play the guitar as a hobby, they will always learn a constructive way to play the guitar and perform with the instrument.

Lessons are open for everyone (children, teenagers, adults). The students are welcome to the lessons from the age of 6.
Carlos is currently working as a teacher in Copenhagen with his own music school, His students represent several nationalities.

Hi,

My name is Can. I've been teaching guitar for 28 years at all levels. If you want to learn to play the most useful and popular instruments in the music world you can join my lessons.

You can play almost all kinds of genres with the guitar. It is the only string instrument which is really polyphonic. The guitar is like an orchestra. Every instrument of the orchestra is inside the guitar but in a smaller sound size. It has many different colors, many different timbres.

Besides teaching this awesome instrument I will also teach you using the programs that help to improvise, recording, and making music. I will give you books, etudes to develop your speed and precision in a short time. After being advanced we will study different genres like rock, blues, jazz, improvisation and solo transcriptions.

All levels are accepted.

Whether you are just starting to play the guitar or piano, or you are already an advanced musician interested in exploring complex compositional ideas and developing your own improvisational language, I am glad to help you in your musical journey. With seven years of teaching experience, I offer lessons for students of all ages and levels of advancement.

I focus on helping students develop both their instrumental skills and creative awareness. My teaching combines structure, intuition, and critical listening — whether we work on guitar technique, harmony, and phrasing, or on broader concepts of form, texture, and composition.

A typical session may include practical exercises on the instrument, analysis of selected works, guided improvisation, or composition tasks. Depending on your interests, we can also explore digital tools such as DAWs and live electronics.

My goal is to give students both technical precision and artistic freedom — helping each person build a deeper understanding of sound and their own musical identity.

Have you been trying to teach yourself the guitar and still find it a pain to play? Or have you been taking lessons and still feel restricted and unhappy? Do not fear, Yvette (she/her) is here to help! With my classes, not only will you learn to play with ease, you will also be able to crack the code of music, so you will understand how notes, chords, rhythm and music theory relate to each other. You will no longer be simply playing through mindless memorization or repetition. You will also learn how to listen to yourself and recognize when you have played well, and when you have made mistakes.
Although I am classically trained, I started guitar playing rhythmic music, such as nirvana and the beatles, and I still have a deep understanding of the style and have taught it for years. I aim to teach guitar the right way, without taking short cuts that limit knowledge and development later on. I have a personalised approach to each student, refusing to force them to play exactly as I do, but helping them to refine their own innate technique. To that end, I create my own exercises for my students, compiling the best from the existing literature, and am working to creating my own guitar method book.

My experiences:
Graduate of Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore
Bachelor Student at The Royal Danish Academy of Music
Teacher, Guitarhympia Music Singapore, where I taught the guitar orchestra of Greendale Primary School
Member of Singapore Tremolo Strings (STS), rondalla group
Teacher, Amadeus Music Academy and Stradivari Strings, Singapore
Performances at Bumzen Collective, Esplanade Recital Studio and Concourse and Lee Foundation Theatre and upcoming performances at Sankt Thomas Kirke and Raadvad Kro
Cafe Activist, Folketshus
Volunteer, LGBT Asylum Denmark
Volunteer, Resilience Collective Singapore
Volunteer, Caregivers Alliance Singapore

GuitarMap is a book I've penned, with plenty of shortcuts to understand harmony and how it works in guitar, piano, ukulele, bass, etc. Lessons are based on the book, which makes it easy to keep track of progress.

I teach music through a practical, student-led approach focused on real-world skills, confidence, and creative independence.

My goal is not just to show what to do, but to explain why it works, so students can apply the knowledge across styles, tools, and situations.

Teaching techniques and methods:

I tailor lessons to each student rather than following a rigid syllabus. Teaching is hands on and example driven, using demonstrations, guided exercises, and problem solving. I focus on breaking complex ideas into simple, usable steps, and I prioritise understanding over memorisation. For production and DJ students, this means working directly in their software or setup; for instrumentalists, it means technique applied immediately to music they care about.

A typical lesson plan:

Each lesson usually begins with a short check-in: what have you been working on? What’s got you stuck? And what do you want to do next? We then focus on one or two clear objectives—such as improving a technique, understanding a concept, or developing a track or performance idea. Lessons end with a practical takeaway: a focused exercise, creative task, or workflow to work on between sessions. Including your own SAMPLY portal to share home work and ideas and track messages.

Special characteristics as a teacher

I bring professional, real-world experience into every lesson. I’m direct, patient, and honest about what works and what doesn’t. I’m especially good at helping students who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or self-critical regain clarity and momentum. I adapt quickly to different learning styles and keep lessons grounded and encouraging.

Who I teach

I teach teenagers and adults at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. This includes hobbyists, aspiring professionals, and working musicians who want to level up specific skills. I regularly work with students who are self-taught, returning to music after a break, neurodivergent, or lacking confidence. Lessons are adapted to individual goals, pace, and circumstances.
