My name is Alison and I am an English tutor with 15 years experience. I am from the UK, but currently living in Chefchaouen, Morocco. I teach GCSE/A Level English Language and Literature, as well as English as a Foreign Language. I am TEFL qualified and have taught students of all ages and abilities, from all over the world.

All of my classes are learner led, meaning that we focus on the student's learning style and academic goals. Whether online or in person, all of my lessons are engaging, informative and imaginative. I also offer Whatsapp support to all of my students, for help outside of class hours.

About Me

I am a very relaxed tutor who focuses on the student's strengths, weaknesses and learning styles to create a personalised lesson plan for each class. I love getting to know new people of all ages, and encouraging student's self expression and ideas. Because of this, our lessons are sure to be full of conversation!

I began full time travelling a few years ago and have loved every minute of it. I am so privileged to have seen so much of the world. When I am not teaching or planning new trips, I enjoy reading, watching documentaries, playing Xbox, supporting Chelsea FC or laughing at my very stupid but adorable kitten. I am currently trying to learn Spanish and Dariji, although I admit I don't think I am very good at either! 😂

Experience / Qualifications

I taught English and Religious Studies GCSE and A Level in the UK secondary education system for 5 years, before moving into the field of Human Rights Research. While I thoroughly enjoyed this career, I found myself missing the satisfaction of watching a student succeed, so I began private tutoring as a 'side gig'. 15 years later and I still love being a teacher and sharing knowledge.
