My lessons help people passionate about music increase their understanding and refine their technique. I’m a classically trained pianist and vocalist, with experience teaching, recording and performing. Although classically trained I was raised performing variations of Jazz and Pop music. My approach uses fundamentals and technique consistent with classical training, and applies studies in other elements. Together with students young and old we will build a unique curriculum and study guide which develops the comprehension of music theory, technique, performance experience, ear training and sightseeing. The repertoire will reflect at least two genres all in an attempt to maximise the versatility and experience of each student musician. I’m a native English speaker with a good understanding of French. I also speak Spanish, Portugués and ASL fluently. I can communicate in Russian.

In the first lesson, it is above all a question of establishing a report with the pupil, in order to evaluate his level, to identify his needs and to give himself a precise objective (to be more at ease in grammar, in oral or written comprehension, expand one's lexicon, be able to pass an exam ...). At the beginning of the course, it will be a matter of briefly reviewing the points covered in the previous class and correcting the given exercises. Going back is important since a language can be learned by repetition. To help students progress, I approach themes that are as varied as possible and in priority themes that interest them, using a large number of resources (manuals or more interactive means, visual aids ...). At the end of each session, I suggest areas for improvement to allow students to improve, and I send them feedback by email, including errors and their corrections. For more information, do not hesitate to contact me, I will be happy to answer you. Regards,

Having taught around the world, I am confident in my ability to help you progress quickly in an interactive and fun manner. While repetition and general coursework are important I also strongly believe in connecting the language to positive experiences; for this I utilize gamification in all my lessons. This is accomplished by the use of board games, interactive online games, role playing, improvisation scenarios and more. This not only helps lock-in the language but also makes it an enjoyable experience rather than a chore. I am not here to watch you fill out a worksheet, that can be homework if you wish. I am here for you to practice and refine your language skill.

Young student khâgneux high school Henri IV and enrolled at the University Paris X Nanterre in Hispanic Studies in L2 offers courses of support / learning of the Spanish language. Spanish is my native language which means that classes combine grammar and oral exercises. The main idea is to reinforce the language level of the student - extra-school - by studying the structures of Spanish as well as its expression. In addition, I can conduct the course towards a support of the subject studied in the secondary class (lv1; lv2; Spanish Lele). At the end of the course I like to make recommendations to students: readings, movies, YouTube channels, etc. Mastery of a language implies mastery of the culture in which it develops.
