About Me
I am a professional fashion designer and creative pattern cutter with over 20 years’ experience working within luxury fashion houses, including couture, ready-to-wear, occasionwear and made-to-measure garments.
I specialise in teaching fashion design, pattern cutting and garment construction in a clear, practical and supportive way. My aim is to help students understand how clothing is truly made, from initial idea through to finished pattern and garment.
I enjoy teaching a wide range of students aged 13+, from complete beginners through to fashion students and aspiring designers. Some students come to learn a new creative skill, others want to improve fit, develop collections, or build confidence in sewing and pattern cutting.
My teaching style is patient, structured and tailored to each individual. I focus on building strong foundations first, then gradually developing technical skills so students gain real confidence and understanding.
Lessons are hands-on and practical, with a strong emphasis on fit, construction quality and creativity. I also offer guidance for students working on portfolios or those interested in starting their own fashion label.
