About Me

I am a fun-loving individual who enjoys using real life situations and experiences to teach languages as well as other subjects. I like using paper, colours, food and role-plays. I like to link the information the learner is studying to other things that interest them. That is why I want my students to tell me what their passions and interests are. I enjoy teaching learners who do their homework and enjoy learning new things.

Education

I completed a University degree in Medical Sciences at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. I also completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching through the University of South Africa. While working as a teacher, I completed a few short courses as well.

Experience / Qualifications

I have been teaching for 17 years. I started teaching English as a Foreign language in South Korea in 2005. When I returned to South Africa I continued teaching and completed a post-graduate certificate part-time. I majored in teaching Natural Sciences and Life Sciences, however; I have taught many other subjects as well. I have worked with learners ranging from grade R to adults.
