About Me

I’m Dawn from China. With over 10 years of teaching experience, dual Master's degrees in China and the UK, and a gentle, encouraging teaching style, I’ve had the pleasure of seeing students from all walks of life and all age groups succeed in learning Chinese, with a 100% success rate in passing the HSK Level 5 exam.

I’ve also enjoyed teaching very young children, making learning fun for even two-year-olds. Teaching has truly been a passion of mine, and I find it incredibly rewarding.

Master’s degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language from Nanjing University provided me with a solid foundation in Chinese language teaching while Master’s degree in Education and Professional Studies from King’s College London equipped me with more international teaching methodologies.

My students often appreciate how I naturally guide them to speak, gently correcting their mistakes while constantly encouraging them. I also design targeted questions in class to help them grasp the knowledge more effectively.

I am a native speaker of Mandarin from PRC with high level teaching certification. I'm teaching new begginers how to learn quickly and pass kinds of exams both in China and UK. Also an expert for high level students or reachers to write modern Chinese essays well.

I am a native Mandrine Chinese speaker and aslo a student who is currently undertaking a Masters course in university. I was schooled in China for more than eighteen years before coming to UK, therefore I have a very good understanding of Chinese culture as well as the language. I had years experience in teaching Chinese and English in my spare time when I was in China and after I moved here.

I would like to help someone who already has some basic knowledge in Mandarin and would like to focus on certain aspects (i.e speaking, grammar, writing), or if they need help with understanding Chinese novels, or you just need someone to practice speaking with, I can be a good help for that.
