Spanish has become a very popular language after English and whether you want to learn it so you can communicate when travelling, whether you want to learn it just because you like it or whether you want to learn it because you need to pass your GCSEs or A level exams, I have the experience to help you with this. I have a degree on linguistics and a masters on education. I work as a secondary Spanish teacher and I have been doing this for many years now.
If you need to learn grammar, I can help, if you want to just learn to converse, I can help you, If you need to just get on and understand the complexities of either GCSE or A Level courses, I can also do that, that is my job.
Over the past few years I have developed numerous teaching techniques in order to make my students understand the Spanish language.

You are in charge of what you want to learn, if in need of passing an exam, bring your own text books and we shall take it from there but if you just want to communicate and lean to converse, just bring yourself and paper.

About Me

I am originally from Santander, in the North of Spain but I have been living in the UK for over 25 years now. I teach at a secondary school in the South of the country and I have always love teaching. I can understand how learning languages when being a student is not easy, no much time and a lot to go through before being put through tough exams. I have also been teaching privately for a few years now, mainly adults who have fallen in love with the language and want to learn to converse.

Education

University of Alcala de Henares, Madrid, Spain. I studied English Philology. In the UK, I did a year Master in secondary teaching at the University of Plymouth.

I have been a secondary school language teacher for 20 years, still working at a secondary school in the UK. I teach students of all ages, from 12 to 18 year olds. Also, I have been teaching Spanish privately to adults.

I design a course specifically around your needs: whether you are a beginner or more advanced. I create a fun and relaxed environment which allows my students to progress effectively and rapidly using all of the four language skills: speaking, reading, listening and writing.

I specialise in GCSE level having helped write resources for CGP and KS3 for the Oxford University Press. I have also been an examiner for AQA and the IB, or International Baccalaureate.
I really enjoy sharing my knowledge and passion for anything Spanish whether it be its history, language, traditions, food, art, literature or cinema, for Spain as well as other Spanish speaking countries!

These classes support students working with English composition. You might be studying for personal and/or professional development, conducting postgraduate level research in English as an additional language, or preparing for a test or interview. The sessions are informal and unstructured, with a focus on dialogic approaches. You will be encouraged to ask questions and reflect critically throughout.

I specialise in tutoring students for GCSE English in both literature and language. My goal is to build student confidence and give them the skills required to ace any exam, whilst working with parents to make sure they feel their child is getting the tutoring they need. I assign homework every lesson which we will go over on the next lesson, and provide progress reports periodically.
