She was the baroque strings coach at the inaugural edition of the Novi Sad Baroque Academy, where she presented a mixture of teaching methods incorporated with historically informed performance practice. In October of 2021 she joined the Herne Hill Music Studio in London as one of their tutors. She enjoys teaching students of all levels and ages, and is always willing to exchange knowledge, seeking new exciting and productive ways of learning. She has explored educational psychology, as well as Feldenkrais and Alexander Technique, visualization and different teaching schools. Having studied 2nd-study piano at her music college as a compulsory requirement, she is able to guide children to take ABRSM graded piano music exams too. The students’ happiness, acquisition of new knowledge and musical improvement are the most important things to her. Diana Cummings, the LRAM programme supervisor at the Royal Academy of Music in London, said: “Ana gave a detailed and very well-presented analysis of the baroque viola, the comparison with modern viola and how it could be taught. I am a qualified Spanish teacher with 10 years of experience. I have taught all levels and ages and I adapt the lessons to the students' needs. For example, if you are a GCSE student, we will focus on what you struggle with first for you to catch up or if you're learning Spanish because your plan is going to live abroad, we will focus on every day language - working on the main skills and doing lots of role play which will make you feel much more confident. I have taught groups of adults at a college and also worked in private schools of languages. In addition, I tutored lots of GCSE and A-Levels students 1:1 privately with excellent results. As someone who excelled significantly in Physics, I teach students' problem-solving skills and content knowledge following their required curriculum in Physics and/or general Science. Of course, talent is needed, but the student’s systematic practice is the primary key for each player to be developed musically and instrumentally. Kyriakos’s approach is personalised, always depending on the age, the student’s goals, and the availability of a student to practice at home. Except from the basic exercises, students are encouraged to express their selves in the lesson, to start developing musical and critical thinking and to engage their personalities, feelings, and expressions, and therefore reflect those parameters upon their pieces. Kyriakos aims to provide the necessary tuition which will ultimately lead the students to make their first steps towards the artistic “trip” of finding their own, personal performance or compositional style. Student’s goals are always the first priority when teaching music, as each student will have the opportunity to engage with different musical genres, including classical, rock, pop and folk.
