Academic Coaching: Study Skills, Planning and Organisation
From 89 C$ /h
Many students understand their course material but still find it difficult to get started, organise their workload or keep track of deadlines. This does not mean that they lack ability. Sometimes they simply need a clearer system and practical strategies that work for them.
My academic coaching is designed for students who want to feel more in control of their schoolwork and become more independent learners. We begin with the your actual workload, current challenges and personal goals rather than using a single approach for everyone.
Depending on your needs, we may work on:
• planning weekly workloads and deadlines
• breaking assignments and projects into manageable steps
• developing sustainable routines for school materials, agendas and digital platforms
• choosing effective note-taking, revision and exam-preparation strategies
• improving focus, self-monitoring and reflection
• building confidence in managing school responsibilities and asking for support
Together, we identify realistic strategies, test them in everyday school life and adjust them according to what works.
I am an education professional with more than 20 years of experience in teaching, special education and school leadership. I hold a Master’s degree in Educational Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Throughout my career, I have supported students with a wide range of learning and support needs, coordinated individual learning plans and worked closely with teachers, families and specialists.
I work in English with students following international, European, IB, IGCSE and other school programmes. With my background in special education, I can adapt the coaching to different learning, attention and executive-functioning needs.
The focus is not on teaching a particular school subject. I help students use their own schoolwork and goals to develop strategies that they can gradually apply independently.
Online sessions are available, as well as in-person sessions in Brussels. I am currently accepting enquiries for coaching beginning in October 2026.

Extra information
Welcome! Here is what you need to know before our first session.
My goal is to help you make schoolwork feel more manageable and develop strategies that you can gradually use independently. Our sessions will focus on your current priorities, workload and goals.
Before the first session, I may ask you and, where appropriate, your parent a few questions. This will help me understand your school programme, the areas you find most difficult and what you would like to improve.
What to bring
You do not need to bring everything to every session. Depending on what we are working on, it may be useful to have:
• your school agenda, calendar or current timetable
• details of upcoming assignments, projects, tests and deadlines
• a notebook and writing tools
• a charged laptop or tablet if your schoolwork is organised digitally
How the sessions work
We will use examples from your actual schoolwork to practise planning, organisation, study and reflection strategies. I can help you understand instructions, organise the process and decide on your next steps, but I will not complete assignments on your behalf.
The sessions are supportive and adapted to your needs, strengths and goals. If you experience difficulties with attention, organisation, getting started or managing pressure around schoolwork, we can test practical strategies and identify which ones work best for you.
Consistency is important when developing new habits. Please arrive on time and, if you need to reschedule, provide as much notice as possible in accordance with the Apprentus booking policy.
I look forward to supporting you as you build greater confidence and independence in managing your learning.

About Me
I am an education professional with more than 20 years of experience in teaching, special education and school leadership. I enjoy working with students who may understand their subjects but need support with planning, organisation, getting started, managing deadlines or finding study strategies that work for them.
My approach is practical, supportive and adapted to each student. Rather than doing schoolwork for students, I help them develop strategies they can gradually use independently. We work with their real school tasks, priorities and goals, so that what we practise can be applied directly to everyday school life.
I have worked with students with a wide range of learning and support needs and in multilingual and international educational environments. I work in English and Turkish and am currently developing my Dutch :)
