Do you want to learn Chinese, whether for your child, your studies, your work, a trip, or simply out of curiosity? I offer Mandarin courses adapted for children, teenagers, and adults, from beginner to intermediate level!
Currently in my final year of a Master's degree in Chinese studies, I speak four languages (French, Dutch, English and Chinese) and I had the opportunity to live and study for a year in Beijing, at the 外交学院 (China Foreign Affairs University).
My career has also been marked by several participations in the Chinese Bridge Competition, a major international Chinese language competition. I twice achieved second place in the Belgian final and then participated in the storytelling event (故事会), where I reached the Top 50 worldwide.
My method is based on a structured progression inspired in particular by the HSK, while being adapted to the objectives and pace of each student. We can work on pronunciation and tones, vocabulary, grammar, characters, listening comprehension as well as oral and written expression.
For children and teenagers, I use an interactive approach with games, stories, pictures, dialogues, and age-appropriate activities. For adults, I can tailor the lessons more to conversation, practical Chinese, everyday situations, travel, studies, or a professional context.
I also wish to share my passion for Chinese culture, which I had the opportunity to explore in depth during my year in Beijing. Since language and culture are closely linked, the courses can also incorporate elements of traditions, festivals, history, and daily life in China.
Each lesson is therefore personalized according to the student's level, age and objectives.
Whether you are a complete beginner or wish to consolidate an intermediate level, my goal is to enable you to progress in Chinese in a serious, structured and motivating way.
