My name is Soet, I am a contra and electric bassist with a love for live electronics which I combine with playing the bass or separately as a solo project.
I studied Double Bass / Electric Bass at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague and Royal Conservatoire Antwerp and have a

I teach music online (Skype, Zoom, Whatsapp...) and in-person in Brussels and Waterloo, Belgium. Nearly 30 years of experience. 800+ students taught.

All lessons are individual lessons (no group classes). The focus is on learning modern styles of the past, say, 80 years: rock, blues, jazz, reggae, singer-songwriter, folk, pop, country, bossa nova... rather than older classical or traditional Spanish guitar music.

Also, I arrange band workshops, recording workshops, and learn to jam sessions, to get you playing with other musicians and performing/recording. This has resulted in two local rock bands... I consider music as one of the most dynamic arts there are, and that's how I like to teach and share it. My method is effective because I focus on the practice as much as the theory; spotting the needs and strengths of the student, so they can start playing since the first month end even making their own music in up to three months of class, learning that the instrument has much more to offer than what they tell us and that in music everything's possible, you just have to know when and how to do it.
