I'm Maximiliano Saavedra, a double bassist with a degree from the Ghent Conservatory, and over 15 years of experience playing in orchestras in Europe and Latin America, as well as teaching youth orchestras in Chile.

I am currently working as a double bassist with the Brussels Philharmonic, in Belgium and I've been teaching double bass since 2009.

I started playing double bass at the age of 12 at the Calouste Gulbenkian Music Conservatory in Aveiro. I continued my studies at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, where I obtained a Bachelor in Music and a Master degree in Music Teaching.
In 2014 I started my Masters in Music at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg and I was also Akademistin at the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester.
