About Me

Nikos born in Volos (Greece) in 1987. Nikos began his guitar studies at early age at the Municipality Conservatory of Volos (Greece).
He was for many years in the national choir of Volos making concerts in many cities in Greece.
In 2009 he graduated Municipality Conservatory of music in Greece, obtained Guitar Diploma with Great Distinction and 1st prize. During his studies he attended many master classes with great Guitar soloist and Teachers such as Oscar Ghiglia, Roland Dyens , Marco Socias, Evagellos Asimakopoulos, Thanos Mitsalas.

He took part in many national and international guitar competitions and chamber music competitions obtained 1st and 2nd prizes. His performances including solo concerts and chamber music, collaborating with important musicians.
He took part in many recordings for greek traditional music, making his own transcriptions and arrangements.

Folk or classical acoustic guitar.

The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.

For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...).

For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...).

I've been playing guitar for about fifteen years, I studied musicology at the Sorbonne, and I've attended music schools and conservatories to further my jazz training. I am 28 years old and I started studying music at the age of 12. In 2017 I got a degree on classical guitar from the conservatorium "Musical Horizons" in Athens. In 2024 I got my bachelor's degree in "Music Technology and Acoustics". Through the years I have taken guitar lessons from many different professionals of different genres on electric guitar, so I can confidently say that I have formed a spherical approach on the instrument. Since 2017 I have been making a living as a musician performing and giving lessons, so my focus and time is completely dedicated to music.
