My name is Dennys and I was born in Cuba. I have been living in Belgium (Bruges) for 15 years now, so I speak fluent Dutch and Spanish is my mother tongue. I have a passion for teaching, languages and diverse cultures. With great enthusiasm I like to pass this on to my students, in an interactive and fun way!

I have the diploma “Bachelor in Education”, of which an equivalence certificate was obtained in Belgium.

This Spanish course consists of 3 categories: Spanish (for students) Spanish (for adults) Spanish (for travelers and/or companies). In each lesson, the focus is on the topic that interests the student. Emphasis is also placed on grammar and speaking skills. In addition, you will get a piece of Latin American and Spanish culture! I also give private lessons (with more room for individual attention) and lessons to small and/or larger groups. I also give conversation lessons (for students with more communicative interests), specific lessons (for students with interests in traveling abroad (Spanish dialects) and/or commercial and technical interests). At the moment I work as a Freelance Spanish Teacher at CVO-Ghent.

We first look at where you are now and what you would like to achieve and I adjust my lesson based on that. Having lived in Ecuador, I know all too well how important it is to be truly immersed in a language. That's why I think practice is very important: talking about your interests! Because... one learns by doing :D

Not: pure theory and rules while sitting down
Do: theory and practice - we chat a lot and get to work with photos, music, cooking, etc...

The lessons are standard at my home in Ghent Center (negotiable in Aalter). Due to training, I will not be available one Thursday and Friday per month until January '25. The other weeks and on Saturdays.
