Private tutoring in Maths/Physics for middle/high school students

From 49 C$ /h

Hello,
My name is Stana and I am 21 years old. I have just finished a preparatory course in Physics and Engineering Sciences. I am now joining ESTACA in Bordeaux to study aeronautics.
I offer tutoring in mathematics and physics/chemistry. I can also help with other subjects if needed (French, history/geography, English...).

I would be delighted to be able to offer my help, whether it be to prepare for the brevet or the baccalaureate, and thus transmit an effective working method, a structure and more in-depth explanations.

I usually work with the student at their home, but video calls are possible.

Last year, I had the opportunity to tutor several students of varying levels (grades 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12) who were experiencing different difficulties, learning at different paces, and using diverse learning methods. I easily adapt to each student's needs. I am also available on Superprof, where you can read my various testimonials.

I studied at Blaise Pascal High School in Orsay (91) where I obtained my baccalaureate (specializing in Mathematics and Physics-Chemistry + advanced mathematics option) with honors. I then continued my studies in MPSI and then PSI at the same high school.
Thanks to my studies, I've gained a more visual understanding of certain concepts that can seem obscure in mathematics or physics, and I would be delighted to share this with my students. I believe that with a more engaging yet rigorous approach, everyone can improve while rediscovering their passion for science. While the lessons provide a foundation for learning, exercises are essential, so I will also assign short homework assignments between lessons and review them with guidance.

Feel free to contact me for more information.

Student in 2nd year at the IESEG School of Management in Lille, I have a baccalaureate S mention Very good.

I propose to accompany students from the 6th to the 2nd in Maths, Physics Chemistry, SVT and English.

I already have proven and successful experience in private lessons and I would be delighted to accompany a new student to success.

As a Chemist/Biochemist and former primary and high school teacher I have taught science and math to young students in a creative way up to college students in a more constructive and effective way.
Mathematics and the sciences are an acquired taste, thus the lessons will be creative enough to make them much more tangible.
Homework and mini tests will be given. But most of the work will be done in class.

I am a qualified engineer from Arts et Métiers ParisTech and followed a preparatory class, accumulating more than 10 years of experience as a private mathematics teacher. My goal is to help your child reach their full academic potential in mathematics and develop skills that will prepare them for a bright future.

Why choose my courses?

Would you like your child to:

Significantly improve your results in mathematics/physics-chemistry?
Join a selective curriculum?
Become independent and confident in your abilities?
Over the last 5 years, I have had the privilege of supporting more than 30 French students, from middle school (sixth, fifth, fourth, third) to high school (second, first, terminale), towards academic success. My students obtained good averages, passed the certificate, the baccalaureate and the preparatory classes, while strengthening their self-confidence.

My teaching method in 3 steps:

Short term: Immediate improvement in average by assimilating the course and preparing for assessments. This includes assimilating the course, taking notes, practicing standard exercises, anticipating teachers' expectations and test questions, as well as acquiring writing methods.

Medium term: Integration of reasoning and working methods. Your child will learn to work regularly in this order: assimilation, training exercises, preparation for assessments and analysis of results.

Long term: Establishing clear goals, building the steps to achieve them, realizing the SIMPLICITY of mathematics, building confidence in your abilities and unlocking your child's potential.

Details of the formula:

One to two sessions of 1h30/2h per week to assimilate the course and prepare for the evaluations.
Classes delivered via Google Meet for effective online learning.
Use of a virtual whiteboard to facilitate the assimilation of concepts.
Access to an online library including 10 mathematics reference books.
Over 1000 online exercises to strengthen math skills.

Chemistry is a fundamental subject of science and requires a technical approach. I focus on clear explanations of complex topics such as moles, chemical reactions, kinetics, hydrocarbons, thermodynamics, and environmental chemistry.
Intensive training in solving past papers.
Deep explanation of conceptual topics, scientific methodology, and problem-solving skills.
Exam preparation and practical work.
I offer home tutoring for A-levels, O-level, primary, middle, and high school students. My role is to prepare students for certification and the initial exam by organizing revision and practice sessions.

As an engineering student at ENSIIE in Évry (Institut Mines Télécom), after a first year of a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Bordeaux and two years of scientific preparatory classes (MPSI then MP) at the Sainte-Marie Grand Lebrun high school, I offer private lessons in mathematics and computer science.

Mathematics: homework help, test preparation, course revisions and exercises to progress in middle school, high school or first year post-baccalaureate.

Computer Science (Python / Algorithms): learning Python programming, basics of algorithms, introduction to problem solving, practical application with exercises adapted to the student's level.

My method is based on clarity, patience and adapting to each person's pace, in order to strengthen understanding and self-confidence.

Doctor of Applied Mathematics and university lecturer, I offer mathematics courses for high school students, higher education students (Bachelor's degree, BUT, DUT, preparatory classes) and for preparation for competitive exams.

Mathematics may seem complex, but with the right method, it becomes clear and accessible.
As a Master's degree holder in Supply Chain, I have gained extensive experience in the practical application of mathematics, logic, and problem-solving. I designed this course as a personalized support program for students who want to progress smoothly and gain confidence.

In this course you will learn how to:

Review the essential basics (arithmetic, fractions, equations, geometry, etc.)

Understand step by step how to solve exercises

Develop effective methods for organizing your homework

Apply practical tips to avoid common mistakes

Effectively prepare for tests and exams

My goal is to make math simple, accessible and motivating, whatever your level.

Is your teenager seeing their grades drop and their motivation wane?
Do your educational opportunities seem to be shrinking, and your future uncertain?

I've seen hundreds of students go through this phase. And every time, with the right tools, the smiles return and the grades follow.

For 9 years I have been giving private lessons in Maths and Physics-Chemistry for the following levels: Primary, Middle, High School, and Post-baccalaureate. My method adapts to each student and has proven itself.

My Method:
- 0: Identify the student's learning profile and potential areas of blockage/technical gaps (generally in 30 min the 1st session)
- 1: Assimilate the theoretical concepts of the chapter using concrete tools (mind maps, knowledge bridges, etc.)
- 2: Anchor your understanding of the subject through practical and visual applications
- 3: Logic: Structure the Foundations of scientific reasoning by encouraging students to develop their own logical thinking through specific questions. Foundations that can be reused in other chapters (and scientific subjects)
- 4: Guide towards Autonomy with targeted challenges and exercises to do alone and to correct together for the next session.

This method, which I have been using with my students for 9 years, has enabled them to overcome all their shortcomings in scientific subjects and master them in order to pass their exams.
But above all, my students find a smile again at the idea of studying Maths and Sciences because they regain something important: confidence in their abilities.

All my students preparing for the Bac or the Brevet have obtained them.

Testimonials from Parents & Students
- Mother of Maëlle, who took out of math classes and is taking her science specialization baccalaureate: "Good evening Abdé, Thank you very much for everything you have done. I know my daughter and it is a miracle that she has a smile and so much energy after 2 hours of math... you have given her back the desire to study and I thank you very much for that... I wish you every success (in all areas)"
- Corentin, who got 15/20 in Maths in his Baccalaureate specializing in SES and whom I was able to follow for 2 years: "You have a lot to do with it, so thank you so much for everything you taught me! When I think that I had an average of 5 two years ago!"
- Parent of Jules in 10th grade: "Hello Abdé, I hope you are well. Jules has been accepted into 11th grade with the chosen specialties. The efforts of the last month have paid off, thank you very much for your help. Jules really enjoyed working with you."

I support my new students for increasingly shorter periods, and their feedback is increasingly grateful.
In one session your child will learn to learn in a new way and will see school in a different light.
In 3 to 8 sessions all the gaps disappear and we will have installed the right automatisms thanks to a working method adapted to our profile.

I offer personalized mathematics lessons for high school students (grades 10, 11, 12) and higher education students (bachelor's degree, preparatory classes, engineering schools).
My approach is based on three essential pillars:
1) Deep understanding of concepts (and not rote learning)
2) Rigorous methodology adapted to examinations
3) Intensive training on typical exercises
Thanks to my background in mathematics and my teaching experience, I support students in:
1) Consolidation of the foundations
2) Preparation for continuous assessments and exams
3) The development of autonomy and confidence

I offer personalised Maths, Physics, and English lessons for students from collège to lycée, adapted to each student's level, goals, and learning style.

With experience teaching students from different academic backgrounds, I focus on making lessons clear, interactive, and practical. My approach helps students understand concepts, develop confidence, and improve their academic performance.

Mathematics: algebra, equations, functions, geometry, problem-solving, and exam preparation
Physics: mechanics, motion, forces, energy, electricity, and scientific reasoning
English: grammar, vocabulary, conversation skills, pronunciation, comprehension, and written expression
Homework support, revision planning, and preparation for tests

Lessons are designed to go beyond memorisation by using explanations, real-life examples, and guided practice to help students build strong foundations and become more independent learners.

Lessons are available in English or French.

Academic tutoring – From 4th grade to high school graduation | Adults welcome

Because we don't all learn in the same way, I adapt my teaching methods to each student, to their pace, their personality and their way of understanding.
My approach is playful, caring and rigorous: the goal is not just to do homework or memorize a lesson, but to understand, to develop good methods and above all to regain confidence in one's abilities.
My teaching is deliberately "out of the box": I like to step outside the traditional school framework, use concrete examples, create associations of ideas and find different ways to explain a concept when it does not go through the traditional method.
I support students from CE2 to Baccalaureate, as well as adults wishing to review some basics, progress or deepen their knowledge.
I can also support students with ADHD or learning disabilities. Please simply let me know before the first lesson so I can best adapt my teaching methods.
Each coaching session is personalized: together we identify strengths, difficulties and objectives, then we move forward methodically, without unnecessary pressure but with real requirements.
