My class is for anyone interested in music as a tool for life. The focus is to learn how to play an instrument and also cultivate mindfulness habits. I have taught with my own method for 20 years to hundreds of students from all walks of life.

We start our session with a short mindfulness exercise and then you'll learn how to play your chosen instrument through your favourite songs. If you're interested we can also then start to learn how to write songs and even record them!

Music forms a great soundtrack in this journey called life, and as a passionate musician and a versatile music teacher, my aim is to inspire others to develop their talents and appreciate the joy of music.

With over 15 years of experience, I teach singing, guitar, music theory, and music production to students that are eager to learn and broaden their skills. My main goal is to create tailored lesson plans to match the needs and ambitions of every student, as we are all different and most importantly we learn in different ways.

Whether you’re a beginner or you already play and sing and want to refine your skills, I will teach you the basics all the way through to mastering what’s needed to become an accomplished player and musician. As I have always sung along with my guitar or bass playing, I have the expertise to help those who would like to improve their singing, or singers who would like to learn an instrument as well. Such tuition can be very useful for singer/songwriters or those who are already in a band, and wish to become a singer guitarist or bassist. I have advanced theory knowledge and experience in how to approach and arrange backing vocals.

I believe everyone should, at some point in their life, be exposed to a degree of music education. As a guitar player, I have spent 15 years playing and over 6 years teaching, and sharing this belief with audiences and pupils alike.

I offer fantastically priced bespoke professional acoustic, electric and classical guitar lessons for players of any ability. Many of my students take graded exams in either contemporary or classical guitar and students who I prepare for exams regularly achieve distinctions. However if the student does not wish to take graded exams I can simply help them learn their favourite songs as well as teaching key techniques to progress in their preferred genres and styles.

I am an experienced and enthusiastic teacher and am adept at all varieties of guitar playing, including, classical, acoustic, electric and bass.

Regarding my previous experience in tutoring, I have given 1000's of hours of guitar tuition both privately and in school settings. These experiences have given me a keen sense of how to motivate students and offer them concise and useful advice. I have worked at many excellent institutions in the past, including Streatham and Clapham Girls' School (one of the top private girls schools in the country), Orpington Music Studio, The Royal Arsenal School of Music and Canada Blanch Music Academy.

I have found over my experiences of being taught and then eventually teaching that the best method for getting the most out of a student is to listen. If the tutor is acutely aware of where their student needs help and where they are already confident, they can tailor classes carefully to make the best use of the time allowed and to get the maximum potential out of them. This philosophy leads to classes being student-oriented, in that the student leads the tuition.
