My name is Bastien, I studied Physics for my Bachelor's at EPFL and a Master's in Quantum Engineering at ETH. During my studies, I was a Teaching Assistant for classes in Electromagnetism, Fluid Dynamics, Analysis, and Special Relativity. I also gave private lessons to students in need before their exams. Through these experiences, I discovered that no matter your level we all tend to get stuck in front of math equations at one point or another. We get lost in the details and seem to be unable to see the big picture, to understand where all of this is going, and why any of it is useful at all. In these classes, I want to help you deal with these issues. It doesn't matter if you are in middle school, high school, or starting your Bachelor's. The goal of these classes is to help you cultivate the skills needed not only to improve your grades but also to be a better problem solver. I will help you develop your passion and curiosity for mathematics. The passion that you maybe never knew you had! We will look at mathematics not as a monolithic entity but as a language. Ultimately, mathematical excellence can be decomposed into four primary skills: memory, patience, curiosity, and creativity. I have 10 years of experience in being a music instructor. That's not only piano lessons, it's also a theory of music, history of music, and vocal and orchestral projects. I've worked with students from all around the world - most of them attended the American School of Warsaw and the British School of Warsaw. The idea is not only to teach how to play the right notes and to know the main composers, but I also want my students to feel the music, to be able to find out what the idea of an art piece is. It is also very important for me to encourage a child to find his own style of playing. From my point of view, there are no people deaf to music, just people who aren’t acquainted with music, till now! It is well known that music classes are not only pleasant but as well music classes are very helpful and important in a child’s education and development. My name is Salvador, and I am a salsa dancer and teacher based in Zurich, with more than 15 years of dance experience and several years teaching in different dance schools. I have also performed with the salsa group Llego el Sabor, dancing choreographies at numerous dance festivals. In my classes, you will not only learn steps and figures, but also how to understand the music, connect with the rhythm and move with more confidence. We can work on basic steps, partnerwork, body movement, timing, musicality, social dancing, technique and styling, depending on what you want to improve. My background includes different styles and influences within salsa, such as rumba, cha-cha-cha, Afro, pachanga, timba and son.
