About Me

I have been playing chess for over 10 years and am passionate about sharing my love for the game with others. For more than 3 years, I’ve been hosting StrangerChess, a community-focused initiative in Berlin that welcomes players of all skill levels. My mission is to create an inclusive and friendly environment where novice players can learn the fundamentals of chess while connecting with others who share their interests.

No matter whether you have just discovered chess for yourself or have been familiar with the game for some time and want to acquire some theory, I'll help you!

My lessons include all the basics of chess, as well as tactical exercises and openings. Above all, however, I orient myself towards the student, because fun and interest are the most important things in my class.

We analyze games together and learn how the positional game works or practice openings and tactical motifs, depending on the level.

I am a 20 year old student who has been playing chess with a passion for 7 years.

I don't have an official FIDE rating, but it should be ~ 2000.

Classes can take place at your home or online via Zoom.

Now, I find great joy in sharing the intricacies and beauty of chess with my students, and helping them to develop their own strategies and techniques. It's incredibly fulfilling to see my students grow in their understanding of the game and to watch their progress over time.

I offer chess tutoring for beginners and advanced players :) My approach is to promote understanding of the game in a playful way and then look at the moves in order to implement your own chess style. Chess is a beautiful game, which even gets more beautiful the more you understand it (everyone can memorize moves 😉). Nowadays, chess is no longer just about reading and memorizing, but also modern! If a learning process is presented in an interactive and fun way, each person can discover a wide variety of things for themselves, I am firmly convinced of that.

I am a certified chess teacher based in Berlin (DOSB-Trainerin C Leistungssport) and a former competitive player, holding the title of Candidate Master in Russia (FIDE peak 1974). I have taught in schools and privately for many years, working with students from complete beginners up to club-level players. I teach in several languages, and I offer lessons for both children and adults, with each class adapted to the student’s level and goals.

For kids, my lessons are friendly, motivating, and easy to follow, especially if they are just discovering the game. I focus on building good habits, clear thinking, and a genuine enjoyment of chess.
