Hello there!

My name is Sara and I'm a classical pianist and piano teacher. I have been a pianist for about 15 years and started teaching it a while ago as well. I offer lessons in 3 different languages ( English, Arabic and German) for both beginner and intermediate levels.

I believe music should be enjoyed and comfortably played, allowing people to both connect with it and understand while challenging them to express themselves in new and different ways. Music lessons are fun and will be set to make the student confident and comfortable in their playing. If any student needs extra time or space to feel secure and safe, I will offer as much understanding and security as I can.
Trust is my number one motto, if for any reason a student feels pressured or uncomfortable they can come and talk to me directly and we shall figure out a way to make music learning fun and enjoyable for them.

I'd like to think of myself as someone who truly enjoys making a good change in the world and who tries to offer the best possible experience when getting to know the instrument and how to play it and I hope you find the trust in me to sign up for my class!

Thank you and have a lovely day

I graduated in piano with the highest honors under the guidance of Maestro Roberto Corlianò. Later I worked in: Salzburg, Austria (as a piano teacher's assistant) and later in Italy and in the Netherlands as a piano teacher. I have had students from 4 to 75 and the lessons will be open to all those who want to approach this instrument for the first time or wish to deepen their knowledge. My approach is very free and is based on the needs of the student. I work exceptionally hard and am always open to finding new teaching methods. I try to understand students' weaknesses to reduce difficulties and their strengths to improve their skills. Currently I am teaching piano at Musikschule Behm, Bertheau & Morgenstern, in Potsdam.

German below -
I started learning piano at the age of five and was lucky enough to work with the same teacher for thirteen years. During my university years at the University Mozarteum Salzburg and the University of the Arts Berlin, I had the chance to experience different teachers and approaches to music. Through this, I came to understand how important it is to find a teacher you connect with, and how our needs can change throughout our musical journey.

In my teaching, I prioritize giving my students the tools they need to become independent musicians themselves: knowing how to practice effectively, improving their sight-reading skills (which opens up an entire library of music), understanding their own strengths and areas where they can improve, and building a solid foundation of basic music theory as far as it is relevant for their piano playing.

A typical lesson looks like this: we start with a warm-up, review the previous week's practice, work on current repertoire, and set clear goals for the week ahead. I focus on helping students approach new music with more understanding and confidence.

At the same time, I feel that individuality can sometimes be overlooked in the process of improving as musicians. For me, it is equally important to leave space for creativity, through improvisation, exploring different interpretation options, listening to different recordings, and discovering different repertoire or musical styles.

I began playing the piano at the age of five and was fortunate enough to work with the same teacher for thirteen years. This helped me understand the importance of finding a teacher with whom you connect well and that our needs can change as we develop musically.

In my teaching, it is important to me to give my students the tools they need to become independent musicians: to know how to practice effectively, to further develop their sight-reading skills (which opens up a whole library of music), to recognize their own strengths and areas for improvement, and to build a solid foundation in music theory – insofar as it is relevant to their own piano playing.

A typical lesson looks like this: We start with a warm-up, review the week's practice, work on the current repertoire, and set clear goals for the coming week. My aim is to help my students learn new music with greater understanding and confidence.

At the same time, I feel that one's own individuality sometimes gets neglected in the process of musical development. For me, it's just as important to create space for creativity through improvisation, trying out different interpretations, listening to various recordings, and discovering different repertoires or musical styles.
