Individual Coaching for Personal and Professional Writing

I offer an approach to writing that goes beyond the basic technical details. This is because when it comes to writing, I believe the personal is the most important. By talking to you about your experience of writing, I will help you realize your project to its fullest creative potential. Questions about your project will include: How do you plan it? What goes through your head when you sit down to start? What role does re-reading and editing play in your writing process? Opening up this space for exploration will allow you to then insert the appropriate technical details. In addition, if English is a foreign language, my ESL-teaching background should let us find the right language solutions when necessary.

I offer help with: Essays, Manuscripts, Poetry, Non-fiction/Prose, and Marketing Content.

I'm a graduate student of clinical psychology, have studied and tutored at multiple international universities, while on the other hand working with small editing and publication groups in NYC and Berlin, as well as recently putting out my own book of poems.

    About Me

Teaching something as personal and creative as writing can be a challenge. Unlike what you might expect, providing information is far from the most important part of what I do. I've found that many of my students can handle gathering resources and grammar information on their own. We all know what Google is. Instead, what I end up providing is the space and encouragement to foster a more personal relationship with the creative process. What that looks like is as various as people themselves.

I've been helping students develop their research and writing skills in exciting international environments since 2012. My experience includes both undergraduate and graduate education levels, as well as artistic and professional contexts. In addition, since I am also a CELTA certified English teacher, I am happy to work with any level of English proficiency.

I'm currently finishing my MA in Clinical Psychology, and have a strong background in the interdisciplinary humanities. This means that I can help you with your learning across a variety of topics ranging from the social sciences to literature. My past students have gone on to achieve TOEFL certifications, successfully apply to a number of American & European universities, and publish distinguished academic work including full length ethnographies.

Tips and Tricks for Sociology Essay Writing, Targeted to GCSE and AS/A Level Students.
I am eager to help young people feel confident when writing sociology essays. I will place an emphasis on deconstructing the questions students are given by encouraging them to reword the question to offer a different perspective on it. In addition, the main aim of a sociology essay is to convince the reader more and more of the argument you have claimed in the introduction. I want to help students do this by helping them follow the PEAL structure, i.e. Point, Evidence, Analysis, Link back to question. I have found this a very effective and coherent way of structuring an essay. I have studied Sociology for 7 years now, at AS/A Level, Undergraduate Level and now at MSc level at LSE. I was awarded First-Class Honours in my undergraduate as well as 'Best Dissertation of the year' by the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. I am seeking a potential career in academia so I truly feel passionate about engaging with the lesson plans on this platform and helping students feel confident in their essay writing.

In short, put an end to the fear of writing! Isn't it difficult to be consumed by the desire to write your project and not succeed in doing it? Break forever the insurmountable wall that prevents you from writing today. It is a matter of combining improvements in form with improvements in substance. For this, the sessions can for example take place according to your needs as follows: a) Comments / proposals on the text that you will offer me b) Writing exercises based on a statement. c) A series of precise and pragmatic recommendations and their application through style exercises. Whether it is a novel, an essay, song lyrics, various texts, a biography or simply a report for professional or school purposes, it is about offering you elements personalized pedagogy: - Study your text - Build text, song lyrics etc - Calmly polish the style - Research and develop your lexical fields - Differentiate between writing for oneself and writing for others All this by combining theory and practice: Writing work from exercises then as part of a personal project. During the sessions, you are guided in your writing project. The trainer accompanies you and teaches you the preparation method, gives you writing tools and helps you work on your style and your imagination. The objective is multiple, including a reflection on one's own literary path, an introduction to the basic tools of style work and exercises on description. Learning objectives: - Identify your writing path. - Mobilize your imagination. - Learn and master the practical writing tools. - Broaden its reflection on creation and professional and personal writing. - Create and develop one or more projects. Trained in a European Grande Ecole & Ivy League University in the United States, specialized and has been working in Europe and North America for more than 16 years in this field, in reputable international institutions , also intervening in forums and conferences. - Locations: Geneva - Lausanne - Friborg - Neuchâtel - Montreux - Basel - Sion - Sierre - Morges - Bienne. But currently and until further notice, only by videoconference in accordance with national recommendations on Covid. These sessions, for which you have asked me, also seem to be perfectly unanimous since they arouse a certain enthusiasm (and a certain enthusiasm). Indeed, they have the advantage of face-to-face sessions (ex: quality of the interaction), without its disadvantages (ex: loss of travel time) with additional advantages (ex: the entire session transcribed in writing on the chat). That is why, at your request, I continue to offer this option. À la carte: evaluated and adapted to each personality.

Creative Writing - Unleashing the Inner Storyteller
My childhood is inextricably linked to the power of stories. The books I devoured, their plots, and characters deeply shaped who I am. This passion followed me to the University of British Columbia, where I majored in Sociology and Creative Writing. While a subsequent career in marketing (both in Canada and Karachi) provided valuable experience, I always felt a yearning for deeper fulfillment. My foray into film production ignited this passion, confirming my true calling as a storyteller and creative. However, it was when I began working with children that I truly found my joy. Guiding young minds, fostering their unique voices, and equipping them with the tools for confident expression – this is my true prerogative. My teaching philosophy centers on cultivating the intangible: a love for creation, expression, and the pursuit of knowledge. I specialize in Personalized Learning Plans, Engaging Activities, Strong Foundational Skills, Confidence Building, Personalized Attention: I am passionate about helping children discover the magic of language and unleash their inner creativity.
