About Me

I employ more of an advisory way of teaching. By this, I mean that I prefer guiding my students towards the answer, rather than giving them the answer outright (although I do, of course, provide any necessary information when teaching). This approach helps develop a better understanding of the topic at hand; furthermore, it reassures the student that even if they have never seen the current topic, they can always work towards the solution by employing a correct methodology.

I enjoy a relaxed working atmosphere, where questions can be asked, and discussions about the subject can be had.

Back in high school, I used to take the same classes as my friends just to help them pass those classes. From this experience, I realised that, not only did I really enjoy teaching people, but I was also very good at it. During my time studying Electrical Engineering at university, I have poured many hours into both physics and mathematics, and am excited to share my knowledge in those fields with anybody who should need it.

I am primarily an SEN Maths tutor, although have worked with all ages and abilities. I have been a full time tutor for 4 years, and before this I worked in schools as an LSA and teacher.
