About Me

Nomadic Italian soul with a passion for the Middle East, not satisfied of a BA and a Master in Middle East studies, I decided to further look into this part of the world adding a PhD. This definitely cemented my long and tormented relationship with Beirut, became my second home since three years. The original love for languages and the homeland, however, has never abandoned me. Landed in the Cedar's Land, in facts, I started work steady - both in schools and at a private level - as Italian teacher to Lebanese learners, now became enthusiast Italian practitioners.

Education

If in my academic activity is my analytic part to prevail, is on the contrary empathy to have the lion's share in the teaching one. Careful and "learner's oriented", I do my best to accommodate in the best way possible the student's attitudes and needs, trying to make them feel comfortable and followed - of course, without forgetting rigor and professionalism.

Experience / Qualifications

Fully customizable according to the learner's communicative exigencies and proficiency level, my lessons follow a communicative approach, i.e. a full-immersion, modular pattern assuming the concrete use of the language as its base, to then push the learner to intuitively reach the rule. This helps learners to reach proficiency using their own natural strategies for language acquisition, as well as to immediately "enter" into the new language and use it. This implies a wide use of authentic learning material, such as current newspapers articles and songs, movie parts and radio podcasts.
Special programs can be adopted for the learning or enhancement of academic and literary Italian.
